The house is truly historical but beautifully decorated and comfortable. Can definitely use some work due to age of the house but overall very big, spacious and homey feeling. We enjoyed our stay.
I had a small family get together for my husband’s birthday and it was an amazing experience! Ms.Barbara was very accommodating and the place is beautiful!! I will be booking again!
We came to SHRV/BC, to attend our daughter’s graduation ceremony from LSUS’s Master’s Program. The Good: When I saw the outside of the house, I was a little concerned because it didn’t look as big as pictured but upon entering…. I was AMAZED by how big it was inside. The rooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated. We are a family who loves to cook, so we could definitely applaud the large kitchens and prep area. The bad: a/c, ceiling fan in primary bedroom didn’t work. However, I reached out to the PM and these issues were rectified immediately. Housekeeping was lacking. There was trash behind the beds in what I referred to as the Gold Room, the white garbage can in the kitchen should be thrown out as there was mold, and old trash in there. Some of the bath towels were still dirty, so I went out to buy some and left them for the next guests to use. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I am so thankful for the owners and property manager for welcoming us and taking care of the above issues. Ms. Barbra, thank you for opening up your home to us.
We greatly enjoyed celebrating our daughter’s graduation with everyone under one roof. We dined in the whole time, watched the Olympics and attended ceremonies. It was a really great weekend and having the house as our home base was very helpful.
Historic home close to all amenities, host friendly and responsive. Plenty of space for a large group or family or friends. Beautiful home inside and out. We come to LA often and will stay again
