Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Nothing says Welcome like finding blood on the comforter and a vibrator left behind at your 4,000 vacation rental. When you spend that much, there is a basic expectation that the home particularly the bedrooms, have been thoroughly cleaned and inspected before you arrive. Finding an adult toy left in the room was shocking enough. Finding blood on the bedding took this from an unfortunate oversight to completely unacceptable. I understand that mistakes happen in vacation rentals. What I cannot understand is how a property can supposedly be cleaned and prepared for new guests while items this obvious are left behind and visibly soiled bedding remains on the bed. The coach could use a thorough cleaning as well. Side note books on the shelf like "the art of latex" gave us the ick as well. We seriously question how thoroughly the rest of the property had been cleaned, so we cleaned every plate and utensils before using them.For the amount we paid, we expected a clean, comfortable home that had been properly turned over between guests. When it was brought to the owners attention, her response was, "it looks like a kids toy," admittedly most kids do take batteries as well.I have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and I can overlook a lot of little things. A forgotten vibrator and blood-stained bedding are not little things.This property needs a much better cleaning and inspection process before
