About this property

Ocean Front Apartment in Isla Verde neighborhood.

A Ocean Front apartment with a great view from the front balcony and now also from our new deck. For longer stays we are offering a very generous monthly discount. So extend your stay! This 2nd story 2 Bedroom and 2 Bath unit is a nice, tranquil, breezy apartment on a quiet little street in a gated neighborhood. It is within steps of the western end of the Isla Verde Beach and a sheltered cove. Also walking distance to wide, sandy beaches, shops, restaurants and a supermarket. The apartment is fully equipped and furnished. It has two bedrooms, including a large Master bedroom with a king size bed and two full bathrooms. Room A/C mini-split units in both bedrooms and also in the kitchen / living room area. In the cooler winter season (Nov - April), the apartment is great for just opening up the double doors in the living room and enjoying the ocean breeze and view. Also, a very big plus for our apt. is that it has solar powered battery back up so we keep going even if the grid should happen to go down. Other amenities include WiFi internet, and washer/dryer in the apt.. It is a non-smoking apartment. Relax on the balcony or in the living room enjoying the beautiful ocean views or sit in the shady patio garden or on our large deck. A short 2 minute walk to a sheltered cove, an excellent place for small children to play in the sand and shallow, calm waters. To get further down the beach where there are wider, sandy stretches, remember to bring good beach shoes to comfortably walk over some rocks along the way. (If you would like a bigger 3 bedroom/ 2 bath apt. see our property # 938186). A great location for food lovers. Within a short walk of the apartment you have a wide variety of eating options including a small food truck park, some casual dining (Pollo Tropical and Paco's Diner), excellent bakeries ( Panaderia Espana), a very good breakfast /brunch place (Bistro Cafe) and excellent coffee (787 Coffee), great local food, including 'mofongo' (La Casita,), pizzerias, and other fine international restaurants including Argentinian steak houses, Peruvian ceviche, and Italian. And if you feel like cooking your own meal, a supermarket is just down the road (Supermax).

It is 5 star!! The host was very accommodating, we arrived late and he waited for us to get there… he gave great advice on places to go… the back yard was its own tropical paradise with some great views of the ocean . The house was roomy and comfortable… sitting on the Maranda drinking coffee in the mornings listening to the waves was great!

This apartment was lovely. It is so close to the water, you can feel the ocean spray from the porch. Local access to a neaby beach was very convenient and there are quite a few of food establishments in walking distance.

We spent a week here with friends. John was a wonderful host, He let us check in a little early which was appreciated. Great location!

John is a great host and the listing is pretty accurate! You are so close to the beach. Enjoyed it every day. There are delicious restaurants and cafes around within walking distance or take a super short Uber ride to Old San Juan. I definitely recommend his place!

My family and I enjoy living in San Juan and we also love traveling. We try to combine our knowledge and appreciation of Puerto Rio with our experience as travelers when we meet and communicate with our guests. Besides the best known tourist attractions, we try to identify other more unique opportunities that our guests may enjoy and contribute to making their trip special, depending on their interests.

Why they chose this property

The house is located in a very unique neighborhood. It's a beach area within a short walk to two great beaches. On weekends, plenty of families can be seen walking to enjoy a fun day in the sun and sand. It's urban, with restaurants, a supermarket and clubs nearby. And yet their is plenty of green with palm trees, tropical pines and bougainvillea all around.

What makes this property unique

This is a 2 bedroom / 2 bath apt in a small family complex with two other furnished apts available for larger groups. In total there are 5 bedrooms that can be combined for a fun family get together. Our garden patio area is a spacious, breezy part ot the house to relax or plan an outdoor dinner.
