Affordable Fun in the Sun - in the Heart of Destin

What more could you want for an ideal vacation? World famous white sand beaches, beautiful emerald water, comfortable and cozy accommodations, shopping, world class restaurants, and more! You get all of this and more when you stay in our 'Slice of Heaven.' Just park at your door and head into your comfortably appointed 3 bedroom 2.5 bath Townhouse. Avoid all those high-rise headaches, no roads to cross, no elevators, no lobbies, no waiting - you are on your own time because Southbay is a community of privately owned townhomes. Our 'home away from home' has 1300 square feet and comes fully furnished with all the comforts you could wish for. Some of the amenities include central air conditioning, 1080p cable TV in living room and TVs in ALL bedrooms, Blu ray/DVD, Stereo system, internet access and a full size washer and dryer in the home. The fully stocked kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker and more. A plush king size bed, private master bath and walk in closet awaits you in the master bedroom. The townhome sleeps 6-8 people comfortably. Bedroom two features a queen sized memory foam mattress that feels like your sleeping on a cloud. The third bedroom has two twin beds with plenty of closet space.
On the grounds of Southbay all guests can enjoy swimming in one of the 2 adult pools (1 heated) or 2 kiddie pools. Other amenities include lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, and a fresh water 5 acre lake that you can fish in. Destin's emerald coast white sand beaches are a very short walk away from your front door through the lush Southbay grounds - No roads to cross. And our own special free bonus - complimentary beach chairs and umbrella set up for you on the beach! (includes two beach chairs and 1 umbrella) Our townhome is located in the heart of Destin near all the after beach attractions you could want. Dozens of restaurants are nearby to satisfy all discerning appetites. Attractions just minutes away include, Harbor Walk, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, Big Kahuna Water Park, Destin Commons, Regatta Bay Golf Club, and Baytowne Wharf. It's all here waiting for you to enjoy. Perfect Spot

Few min walk to the beach( an umbrella and 2 chairs waiting for you). Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Place is very clean and well maintained. It is a home away from home.

Very nice Property

We were very happy. The town house was very clean. VRBO sent us the wrong code we called the host he answered immediately and gave us the right code. You are in the heart of Destin walking distance to tons of stuff to do and restaurants. The Beach was amazing. We will definitely be back

Perfect Beach Getaway

Cozy, clean, family-friendly condo with all the amenities of home. Plenty of room for family of six. Short, private access to the beach with provided beach chairs and umbrella. Perfect for a beach getaway and we will definitely be back!

Our stay at the condo was AMAZING! It had everything we would need plus some. The location was GREAT as things to do and eat were close in proximity. The beach was a short walk and feeding the turtles in the lake was the icing on the cake. We will def be back!

Good location and I would definitely stay again

It was a very nice and clean place. Beach was within walking distance. A lot of places to shop and eat at within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this place to other people. I was also stay there again.

The townhouse was spotless, the property and pools are kept in pristine condition.

We love staying at this townhouse. It is close to everything we wanted to do and the price was affordable, especially if you split it with others. The property is in pristine condition and the townhouse itself was spotless upon our arrival. The location is heaven on earth since it's the nicest beach I have ever been on. Overall A+ for the money

Perfect location, owner Pancho, was great! Property had everything u needed, down to utencils, extra towels u name it, this house had it. Very spacious! Beach literally was just a short 5 min walk. Loved this place. I would rent again.

This location was convenient to everything.

Our stay at Destin was during Spring Break week. However it was quiet and relaxing. We had a lot of the amenities to our selves which was fantastic. The town home had everything you needed and was very spacious and decorated nicely. I would definitely come here again.

A lot of activities and restaurants close by. Short walk to the beach and having 2 chairs and umbrella included was nice to have. Pool was super close. The condo was clean and spacious for our group of 6. Would highly recommend!

Family-friendly paradise!

We were so impressed by this home. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with 6 young kids, and that's saying a lot. You really can just walk right out to the beach, and the pool is just steps from the door! I had lowered expectations because it's so affordable, but everything was perfect. Don't hesitate!

Wonderful property!!!

This property was absolutely wonderful. The check-in was the easiest we've ever had and actually got to check in a little early. The property was very clean and spacious and above all our expectations. It is located around a lot of attractions and restaurants. One of the pools is basically right outside the door. The walk to the beach doesn't take too long and you don't have to cross any roads to get to it. Overall I would love to come back.

We will be back!

This is a two story unit that is conveniently located between the beach and shopping. We didn't rent a car and honestly didn't need it, easy walk to the grocery store and any other needs. Everything was clean and necessities were available. I didn't see beach towels but we brought our own so it wasn't an issue for us. There are two chairs and an umbrella reserved on the beach for use - this was a great bonus! I think the distance to the beach is a bit misleading, it's a bit of a hike through the cimple if you have things to be out there for the day but

Very Nice Townhouse

Overall, this was a very nice townhouse. The entire house was very clean except inside the coffee maker. It was to the point I would not make coffee in it. We didn't have any issue checking in or with the codes but the first night we arrived there was only half a roll of toilet paper in one of the bathrooms. The other two didn't have any. Instead of bothering the owner, we just went and bought our own. The next day, someone brought more toilet paper and towels and left them in a laundry basket on the dryer. I did not know anyone would have access to the home besides us during our stay so that was a bit of a surprise. This unit is located close to the pool which is very nice. It's also a short walk to the beach. You walk across a gorgeous lake with lots of turtles. The beach is beautiful! All in all, it was a really nice stay.

Perfect Vacation!

Our stay at South Bay, Unit 18 (VRBO 268597) was absolutely perfect! The condo is located in a very good part of Destin, within walking distance of grocery stores and restaurants. The condo itself was amazing! It felt much like home with the personal touches the owner has in the unit, the coziness of the furniture, and the overall cleanliness of the unit made us feel right at home! Also, the grounds in the complex were beautiful and very well maintained. The owners description of the unit and the complex were dead accurate. The instructions for gaining access to the unit, the tennis courts, and the beach umbrella/chairs were well written and accurate as well. Any questions we had prior to arrival about these items were answered promptly by Pancho. All in all, our vacation in Destin was perfect! This was the first time in about 15 years that we had been to Destin as we have become "cruisers" over the last several years. However, after this week, we are looking at doing another vacation in Destin and, for sure, we will look for available dates with Pancho and South Bay! I would highly recommend checking with Pancho on this unit as it is extremely nice and very well priced for the Destin market.

Great Experience

The owner was extremely responsive and accommodating to our needs! One of the pools is right across the parking lot which was super convenient. We noticed there were a lot of groups like us on the property (family’s with kids) for the most part. There were a couple of younger adult groups who stayed in the complex but they were very respectful. I saw another post that said there were plenty of towels for hair large family who stayed in the unit. We had plenty of towels but definitely had to keep up on the laundry to ensure we always had wash clothes ready for shower time. But that’s no big deal and we also have a few family members who shower multiple times a day so we are a little more needy than others. Location is pretty central to a lot of things and a short drive to the boardwalk or mall. We walked over to The Pancakery (best breakfast we had the whole week) Sugar Kingdom and the surf shop in the shopping complex directly next door multiple times. The townhomes seem decently insulated, never heard a peep from the neighbors. The unit is on the far side of the complex from the beach but the provided chairs and umbrella were so nice to have. I will say my only complaint (and not with the unit but the property as a whole) is that they have you set your trash on the curb for pick up.... It’s such a nice little place and it’s a nice theory and option to have trash pick up but it’s kind of an eye sore to see all the trash bag piles around the property when heading to the beach. The dumpster was not close to the unit but close enough we preferred to just walk ours to the dumpster (especially with the amount of trash a family of 8 can make in a day). All said and done, we would absolutely stay here again! It’s clean, convenient and the owner is awesome and provides you with enough information to be able to understand your unit and the expectations. Loved the unit and the community.
