An amazing find! We are named this cottage "Sweet Spot" because it's in just the right place to enjoy Destin with out the traffic. This beach house is located in the amazing neighborhood, Crystal Shores, in the Crystal Beach community of Destin. Located steps to the beach & still central to everything with out getting into heavy traffic!

3 bedroom 2 bath house in one of the best neighborhoods in Destin Walking distance to beach, close to shopping, food, and attractions. This area has bike rentals and bike paths. Its near the Commons Shopping Center, Whole Foods and Publix. Includes 2 bedrooms with king beds and one room with bunks and an additional trundle slide out. All rooms have high quality mattresses. Other features include front loading washer and dryer, full functioning kitchen, a great wrap around porch with BBQ grill, and access to the community pool.

Quiet neighborhood, super short walk to the beach.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay, walk to the beach was super short and convenient. We rented a golf cart for a couple of days so we could go to nearby shops and restaurants, all within walking distance as well. The house was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinners as well as beach accessories in the garage. The house was very clean, we will definitely stay here in the future.

Perfect Location and Comfortable space

We enjoyed our stay here. The king size beds were really comfortable, which is key when traveling for us. Our daughter loved the bunk bed room and all the books and sand toys available. They even had a wagon you could pull to the beach, which was a short 5-7 minute walk away from the house. There was a Whole Foods down the street and close to plenty of restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again.

A home that needs maintenance and remodeling. Not much for cookware and rusty knifes and such were offputting. The host was pleasant.

Thank you for your feedback. We will always replace things that need to be fixed. If knives were rusty as you claimed and you would have let me know, we would have new ones brought to you. Beyond that due to this low- star rating, we feel the need to mention that this guest was full of complaints from the beginning and difficult to host. He texted me at 6am the first morning to say the coffee machine was not working, a light was broken in the kitchen, and a new lightbulb needed for bathroom. This was all weird because my family and I just stayed there the week before and left the day of his arrival, none of that was the case for us. I offered to come over to fix things and when I got there, coffee machine worked (he just didn’t push the carafe in all the way) and said a light was broken (he didn’t flip on the switch) and replace a light bulb in the bathroom (one of the four lightbulbs needed to be screwed in). The time period this guest stayed was during spring break so naturally, it’s a busier season in the town so there will be more people walking to/from the beach. That is the price you pay for living/staying close to the beach. It’s never really bothered our family too much and we still sleep and enjoy the area just fine. Our neighborhood has a security patrolling to ensure no spring breakers or young kids are having parties at night as well. The pictures reflect the current state of what house looks like, so if he wanted a home that was remodeled and updated then he should rent that and not leave a poor review because of it. This house is a comfortable, clean, functioning home in a fabulous neighborhood close to the beach.

Very fair Host

We enjoyed our stay it was a neat house close to the beach. Most of all I was very grateful for how our host handled a plumbing issue that was beyond their control. They were very communicative, helpful and accommodating in the midst of a mildly challenging issue (mainly because it took specialized plumbing equipment to resolve so it couldn’t be resolved immediately). I felt like our host did all one could reasonably expect to serve us amidst this issue (and I don’t think it’s an issue any future renters would need to worry about). If you are looking for a great host and a neat little house close to the beach, this is your place!

Overall, good. HAD to buy insurance, which I didn’t feel was necessary. And something about clearly paying a cleaning fee and then being told how to clean before you leave, irks me. Conveniently located to attractions yet in a very quiet neighborhood. Pool about 2 blocks from house.

Thank you for your feedback. Just want to be sure to clarify that Insurance is not required but optional so in case someone sees this can have that information. Also, guests are not asked to clean the place prior to leaving. However we do ask that they do not leave dirty dishes and be sure to put trash in the bins. Those two things could become time consuming as one could imagine if a cleaner walked into the unit with a bunch of dirty dishes and trash all over the place. The cleaners job is to turn over the beds, laundry, clean the bathrooms and the floors, wipe down all the surfaces, etc. We do not require guests to do those things.

Late Summer Getaway

My wife and I stayed at this house last year during the exact same time of the year. Except last year it rained every day but one. Even though it rained, we still enjoyed our stay and swore we would never go back the ysame time next year. Well guess what, we did go the same time one year later and there was no rain, full sun and everything was great. The house is wonderful, the beds are comfortable and my grandson loved the bunk bed.

Great family getaway

House and location were great! The house was clean, had everything we needed and plenty of space for our family. Our daughter especially loved the bunk bed room, it made her feel at home. The neighborhood and pool are wonderful, close to everything but away from the business. It was so nice being able to borrow the beach wagon, buggy boards and sand toys! If you plan on cooking, make sure to bring Tupperware or something to store your leftovers, that was the only thing that was missing for us.

Perfect House For a Girls Trip

Quaint, charming house located less than a five minute walk from Destin beach. The check-in process was quick and the house was very clean when we arrived. The neighborhood was also quiet and the pool was nice to go to when the beach was too crowded. Overall this house worked out perfectly for our party of 6 and we’re already looking forward to our next trip to Destin.

This place was a perfect get away place. Close to the beach, pool in the neighborhood, nice front porch to rock and enjoy the outside. The place was nicely appointed, just needed to some Beach Towels and Chairs, or mention in the description that those items were not included. I definitely will try and come back and stay at this place again.

Great Stay!

This property is great! Very short 5 minute walk to the beach. 2 minute walk to the pool. Short drive to any Destin entertainment. The house was clean and beds in two big bed rooms were very comfortable for the most part. Kids said top bunk of bunk beds was pretty uncomfortable. That was really the only complaint. Would recommend this property to any one headed to Destin.

The house was well equipped and well stocked with most necessary items. The garage contained a lot of beach items, like umbrellas, skim boards, and toys, which made it convenient for the toddler in our family. The owner was attentive to our needs and easily reached. Beach access was a 5-7 minute walk, however no ramp or showers at the nearest beach. Another beach with these facilities was a further 5 mintes away.

Quiet neighborhood, public beach access (5 minute walk great for small children), across from Destin Commons, and easy to get on the highway and head to dinner! The house was great we loved the garage access for our beach items (wagon & toys), the front porch was great for morning coffee! Our kids enjoyed the ice cream truck in the afternoon!

We loved it!

For our family of 6, this was great - house layout worked perfect, proximity to the beach was great & lots of things within walking distance. Kitchen could have had a few more items, but was pretty easy to make do with what was there. Front porch was awesome for morning coffee with my sweet husband. We hope to be back!
