About this property

Quaint cabin w/hot tub-10 min from Helen!

Small cozy cabin in the woods, close to Helen. We have a new hot tub, grill, internet, fireplace and 50 inch smart TV for your comfort. 20 mins from Cleveland, 10 minutes from Helen and 5 minutes from Unicoi State Park. Flexible with pets.
One thing we love about the property is the peacefulness. It does get very quiet at night sometimes and this is very relaxing. We do also enjoy making the occasional trips to Helen for some of the great restaurants and things to do there such as tubing down the river. There is also occasional wildlife, this is the mountains.

FYI the name of the cabin is Southern Oak Inn

Other Things To Note
The road leading to the cabin is a little rough. We make it just fine in our cars( Honda Civic and Accord) but the ride can be bumpy at the end.

Peace and Quiet

This was a great little cabin for a quiet get-away. Isolated enough to get peace and quiet, but close enough to be in Helen in no time at all! Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. Would highly recommend for a couple or small family.

Great but dirty

My wife is a little bit of a neat freak and at first she wanted to leave from the obvious lack of thorough cleaning but I said no , so the first thing we had to do was clean certain areas. Otherwise it was a great stay , excellent location 5 miles from Helen , the hot tub worked great , the smell and sounds of the surrounding forest was so peaceful and relaxing. If I knew it would be cleaned up I would stay again in a second , but unfortunately there is no way knowing that.

Cute cabin

We wanted privacy and this little cabin was perfect for it. Helen and Unicoi State park are really close. As the owner stated, the road is a little rough, but we had no problems with the road or getting up to the cabin. Great for a weekend getaway.Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Getaway

My partner and I stayed here for our 4th anniversary on our trip to Helen. The property was very clean, very nice atmosphere. I loved the wilderness around us and this place helped our trip be one we will cherish forever. Will definitely consider coming back the next time we visit Helen!

Awesome getaway

It was a great lil cozy spot on the hills. Close to the awesome little town Helen. We loved getting in the hot tub, after a good day being out and about at all the fun attractions in parks.

We loved the cabin. Quiet and secluded, but close enough to town. Cabin was cozy. Enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. Cabin was perfect size. Thank you for having us. Will definitely stay again if we come to Helen, GA.

Perfectly Quiet Getaway Spot

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed it all. We struggled with the hot tub but Gregg helped us out over the phone very quickly. The place was very clean and comfortable. I hope to be able to revisit in the near future.
