The apartment was very nice. We loved it! Unfortunately we were there during a Portland heat wave and could not figure out the portable A/C unit. Would stay again just not in August.
We were super surprised that it was underneath a house. We loved the cleanliness and amentities. We just thought it was more private and had our own place to stay, the listing did not share that part. It was comfy and the owners were very accommodating.
A nice green oasis with yummy free free range eggs.

Cool decor, comfortable seating and sleeping, open concept, easy to find. Communication was great, and it was just enough space for 4 adults. We had a great visit!
Our stay was great. The property was very private even with being a basement apartment. The place was close enough to walk to most of the places we wanted to go to while staying in Portland! The neighborhood seemed safe. The host was very sweet as well. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
The property was an overgrown garden oasis with an abundance of fragrant flowers competing with one another for best in show. The basement apartment was well apportioned with comfy aesthetically pleasing furniture. There was just enough kitch to make it feel like a home. Downsides: chicken coup is close to the door, so you get a pretty good whif as you arrive, it’s only as you walk past one spot that smells. It is a basement, like all basements there is a subtle mustiness to the air. Neither of those are dealbreakers, I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.
It is a very comfortable, well decorated unit with a great kitchen. You need a flashlight better than a phone flashlight at night and a sticky lint brush. The couch sheds, and it was not enough to brush it off as it ended up on the floor and the legs of our pants. Enjoyed staying there.

Veronika was a wonderful host. Excellent, prompt communciation. Organic eggs for breakfast from her chickens was a treat! Would definitely stay again,
We greatly enjoyed our stay. The space was perfect for the 4 of us. Having a full and well-equipped kitchen was fantastic. The host is very communicative, accommodating, and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend.
The accommodations were wonderful and it felt like home. We had room to gather together and room to spend alone, as needed. Beds were very comfortable and we slept so well. It was close to all the activities we wanted to experience. Veronica was helpful and willing to make suggestions for our stay. It was our first trip to Portland and i would definitely return to this lovely home for any future trips. I can’t say enough good things about it!
We frequently visit family and friends in Portland. Of all the many places we’ve stayed, Veronika’s is our new fave! It’s got it all:
- Super comfortable beds
- Clean, attractive layout and furnishings
- Big, modern bathroom with walk-in shower
- Generously stocked kitchen
- Quiet setting and private entry
- Beautiful garden and fire pit
- Close to great restaurants and bars, food pods, shopping, art, etc
- Attentive and thoughtful hosts
- Fresh eggs!
Highly recommend!
We had a perfectly lovely stay here! Location is amazing....close to downtown Portland, the airport and the grocery store is literally 2 blocks away. Plenty of street parking all the time. Our host was super responsive and even delivered fresh eggs for us (the chickens were AWESOME to visit every day)! The beds and pillows were super duper comfy and the place is clean and bright and really nicely decorated. I would give more stars if allowed, and I would definitely stay here again. :-)
Everything at this place was thoughtful and perfect! Fully stocked kitchen, extra pillows and blankets, a pack n play, a hair dryer, FRESH EGGS! Little details make a big difference and made the stay so lovely. The space itself is great, clean, spacious for our fam of 4, loved walking through the garden to and from the private back entrance. Veronika was also helpful, responsive, and a lovely host. This place is located close to a beautiful park (about 10 blocks?) and we enjoyed our time immensely! Looking forward to coming back someday soon.
