Holiday house with private pool and fenced garden

Podere il Chiassale is an old farmhouse built in 1850 and renovated in 2015. It is located at the foot of Voterra and combines Tuscan architectural style with modern amenities.
The open professional kitchen offers even demanding chefs all possibilities. The house is equipped with internet, the spacious bedrooms all have satellite TV and air conditioning. In the open living-dining area there is a fireplace, which creates a cozy atmosphere in bad weather. For pizza bakers there is a special wood stove.
The house has a 40qm large portico and offers plenty of shady space for hot days. A large table invites you to dine, as well on the 100sqm terrace.
The 12x6 m swimming pool is located on a higher level and is equipped with a cozy seating area and pool chairs. From the fully fenced plot you have a magnificent view of the surrounding hills and Volterra.
The Rustico is located in the heart of Tuscany, San Gimignano can be reached in about 20 minutes, Florence, Pisa, Siena and the sea are about an hour away.
We organize sailing trips for our guests (own boat 15m is located in the nearby harbor),
Cooking classes, horse riding tours, hikes and a private chef service.

Der Check-in und der gesamte Kontakt war unkompliziert, direkt und sehr freundlich. Bei Fragen waren die Vermieter immer ansprechbar und hatten auch einige regionale Tipps für uns. Das Haus lässt keine Wünsche offen und ist für toskanische Maßstäbe geradezu luxuriös. Wir haben vor allem den sehr gepflegten Pool genossen.

Tolles Haus in wunderschöner Umgebung

War insgesamt ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt, bei dem alles perfekt funktioniert hat.Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet mit einem rustikalen Flair, aber moderner Ausstattung. Der Pool ist groß und gepflegt, der Platz um den Pool schön hergerichtet. Einziges (kleines) Manko: Die Toiletten im Haus sind etwas schwach bei der Spülung.Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, man sollte sich allerdings bewusst sein, dass das Haus recht abgelegen ist und die nächsten Läden ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt liegen. Volterra als nächste Stadt ist sehr empfehlenswert und hat viele schöne Aussichtspunkte.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean and well stocked home with an amazing huge pool. Plenty of outdoor seating and dining options. The owners live next door and were gracious and helpful hosts. Air conditioning is in the 3 upstairs bedrooms and the main living room area downstairs. Bocce set and a grassy area to play. We even had one of their cats ‘adopt’ us during our stay which we welcomed. There are good dining options within 5-10 mins of the house and the incredible town of Volterra is about a 20 minute drive.

Wonderful villa in the heart of Tuscany

We really enjoyed our 10 day stay, beds were comfortable and everything was clean, the pool was fantastic with an amazing view. Lots of space for two couples to relax and unwind yet within an hour of all the major towns and attractions. Jurgen was responsive to our needs and even helped us with the pizza oven. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Wunderschönes Haus am Fuße von Volterra

Sehr schönes Haus mit tollem Pool und eine sehr gut eingerichteten Küche. Haben die Zeit vor Ort sehr genossen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und hatten immer einen guten Tipp für Restaurants und Ausflugziele. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Splendid

Splendid property, handy for Volterra and San Gimignano. Spacious accommodation, well equipped kitchen, large grounds and pool in secluded location. Well especially liked the sailing trip with the owners on their yacht.

Amazing Tuscan Home

Wat was het geweldig!

Vanaf dag 1 goede en snelle communicatie. Jurgen heeft ons opgehaald van het vliegveld en was zeer aardig en heeft ons tijdens de rit ons veel verteld over de omgeving. Huis was netjes en schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien en ook nog eens gezellig! Wij hadden via Jurgen een zeiltocht geboekt en de laatste avond hebben twee hele lieve Italiaanse dames een diner voor ons bereid, die overigens heerlijk was. Het zwembad is groot en ligt wat hoger waardoor je mooi uitzicht hebt vanaf het zwembad maar die heb je ook al vanaf het huis. Een auto heb je hier zeker nodig en alles ligt toch wel een uurtje rijden van het huis. Als je dat allemaal geen probleem vindt dat is dit zeker een grote aanrader!

Wunderschöner, sehr erholsamer Urlaub

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche in diesem sehr schönen Haus, in traumhafter, sehr ruhiger und erholsamer Lage! Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Absolutes Highlight ist der tolle Pool und das ganze Grundstück ist umzäunt, was für Hundebesitzer großartig ist. Rundum ein gelungener Aufenthalt!

Home away from home…

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the villa and area. It was a peaceful place to unwind with easy access to Volterra and the Tuscan countryside. The property has a relaxed elegance with several indoor and outdoor living spaces to eat, work or just rest. The management and owners were delightful to work with and immediately responsive to our needs.

Fabulous villa in a beautiful location!!

We absolutely loved our stay in this storybook villa which was perfect from beginning to end! The home was gorgeous, comfortable, well appointed and hosts could not have been nicer and more responsive. They even offered to drive us to dinner one night! The house and kitchen have everything you could need and their recommendations for restaurants and tour guides made the trip! We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to doing just that!

Very nice house and swimming pool in Tuscany

Very nice house with fenced swimming pool, ideal for families with small children. Airconditioning only in the bedrooms, but this was not a problem despite a week with every day 30+ °C. The only minor point is that the second bathroom on the first floor is VERY small.

Absolutely recommend!

This property is a gem! The location is so lovely for a stay in the Tuscan countryside. One of my favorite parts is that the house is on a 2.5 km quiet and safe road with gorgeous views for morning amd evening exercise walks. plenty of closet/drawer space plenty of hangers comfortable matresses hosts so nice and responsive and hospitable kitchen has everything you need for cooking house is so comfortable, indoors and out landscaping is lovely house is so pretty Definitely recommend!

The villa was absolutely perfect!

This home had all the "Bells and Whistles" need for a relaxing and comfortable stay! it is very centrally located between Volterra and San Gimignano. The Host and Hostess were very kind and helpful. They offered suggestions for restaurants, sightseeing, etc. When I go back to the region, I will not hesitate to stay at this lovely home. Amy Coleman

Paradise!

A beautiful home in a peaceful oasis! This house is perfectly situated with easy access to Volterra for shopping and restaurants but also a beautiful country setting. Our hosts were so kind and attentive. We will definitely be back to stay again! The house has everything you need to pass a lovely holiday. We especially appreciated to comfortable large beds and lovely soaker tub. We visited over Easter and the weather did not cooperate but we look forward to returning in the summer time to enjoy the large swimming pool. Even in poor weather we had a lovely stay with cozy evening fires and afternoon walks in the surrounding countryside.

Lovely house and location, could do with updating in places

Our family had a wonderful 10 day stay in August 24. The house is lovely and well equipped. The swimming pool is magnificent size for a villa. The bedrooms were excellent and large. The communication with Gabrielle and Jurgen was fantastic and very fast. Downstairs could do with aircon, especially during a Tuscan summer!!!. We thought the whole house would have it and not just the bedrooms, especially at the price we were paying. Suggesting keeping the curtains close did not help and also meant we were missing the view. The downstairs shower needs repair and the kitchen was a bit ‘tired’ and could do with updating. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Beyond our Tuscan dreams

Trip of a liferime. Everyone’s favorite part of this vacation, the Villa This remote retreat is set about 10 minutes away from Volterra. Gabbi and Jurgen are the most delightful hosts. They treated us and our two young grandchildren like family. All their recommendations were spot on. The setting was movie -like. The renovated villa is as charming as the hosts. The house was spotlessly, clean, and well equipped. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. The kitchen is eat- in and has all the amenities. You definitely need a car.. there is so much to explore, but this was our most perfect and magical home base.
