This is an absolutely beautiful, well equipped property with a direct view of Grandfather Mountain. We cooked in both nights we stayed there visiting my daughter who goes to Appalachian State. We took a day trip to Banner Elk, went into Boone, and the Sugar Grove area to the original Mast General Store. Very centrally located. Highly recommend to anyone.

This was the perfect place for our short trip. It was clean and comfy and perfect for our family while we visited Tweetsie! We hope to stay here again in the future.
Our family of four stayed and enjoyed this nice property for a long weekend. Nice renovations and plenty of room for our family. Added bonus was the beautiful view off the back porch. The communication with the rental property was fantastic and expedient. We will definitely return!

This VRBO was amazing! I booked when the pre-reno pictures were still up, I was blown away by the unit when we arrived. The renovations looked like they belonged in a magazine! My friends were ready to book another trip there!!

Thank you for your kind review, we are so pleased you were happy with the unit! We would love to have you visit with us again if you are ever back in the High Country.
The condo was nice, with plenty of room for our party of 4. The pool and hot tub were 2.6 miles away, which should be stated in the listing. We visited the hot tub/indoor pool twice. On the first visit, hot tub was lukewarm. You pressed a button to start the jets, which auto-shut off every 5 mins. We realized warm water was being expelled from the bottom row jets, so we pressed the jet button every 5 mins for approximately an hour to warm up the water. There is also WiFi at the pool, but no mention of or password for it in the pdf instructions or binder in the condo, so we couldn’t use it. The fireplace was nice, as were the showers. We noticed an unpleasant smell in the refrigerator and in 2 of the showers, so we bought cleaning supplies and recleaned those ourselves. Overall, the stay was good. Condo was a 30 min drive to Beech Mountain.
Check in was so easy, even though we got there after the rental office was closed. The condo was immaculate and provided almost everything we needed. A couple of little things needed attention and we needed a colander to cook. Foscoe was very quick to respond to our needs and even provided the colander the next day! Location is excellent for all mountain activities, especially hiking which is our favorite. View was spectacular! And it is close to Samaritan's Purse, our favorite ministry, which is headquartered in Boone. It was a great place to stay to see the area.

Dated home, Nice View
The view is lovely and the Echota pools and hot tubs are great. Home was missing some conveniences; we couldn’t figure out how to stream our Netflix, no board games, there isn’t a hairdryer, so bring your own. Property has a drip coffee maker.
A 10AM checkout is too early to enjoy coffee on the deck or breakfast and I would have opted to extend our morning if it had been a better property. The house was not clean enough. The bedskirts were dirty. Many dead bugs around window sills and on the carpet. The biggest issue is the millipede infestation. Many live millipedes throughout the downstairs and kitchen. There is a room with bunks and a closet to an unfinished space which was filled with very large millipedes. Difficult to relax with live millipedes all over. Home is dated and could use an update. We wouldn’t stay here again.
