Very nice place to stay for 3 couples to celebrate our July Anniversaries. The wifi was great as I had to work while there. We spent the weekend golfing and sidebuside riding. This was a great place to rest up.

We really enjoyed the setting of the property, ability to make our own meals. After a long day of site seeing was nice to "come home" and relax in the hot tub.

Hi Thomas, thank you for staying with us at Hillside Hideaway. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we would love to host you again!
We have stayed in this cabin previously. This property works well for our family, especially since they changed out the daybed/trundle for a full-size bed. Heck of a driveway but everything else is good.

Hi Julie, thank you for staying with us at Hillside Hideaway. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us again!
Perfect place to relax and unwind on the beautiful Black Hills. Saw wildlife every day.
Cabin is larger than photos suggest. Everything you need in the kitchen. A bit outdated, but this added to the charm. Would stay again!

Our stay was good except the trash cans were full, dirty towels on the railings, no many face clothes or towels, fridge and stove was disgusting we had to clean when we got there because it was so dirty

Those are not our cleaning standards and we have reached out to the cleaners. Since you were there for 10 days, we would have loved to have heard about this during your stay so we could have tried to fix it for you!
We had to fold towels that were left I. Dryer and also had to empty the dishwasher upon arrive so we could use it. We enjoyed this cabin but thought that stuff should have been taken care before we got there. If this is ever for sale please let us know as we r looking to move back into this area.

Not worth staying here
The carpet was disgustingly dirty. The whole house needs a deep cleaning. Stairs to upper level are extremely difficult to maneuver. Overpriced for what it is.

Jeremy - we are sorry you didn't enjoy the house but we would have really liked to hear from you while you were there. We do appreciate the feedback and have the carpets scheduled to be cleaned.
The process was easy, communicating was good. Location was good. When we arrived the property looked like it could use a little grooming, inside the house our group ended up washing bedding, towels, hand clothes, cleaned toilets, cleaned refrigerator and vacuumed the house. The spa had a ring around it and needed to be cleaned before use. I called the manager and had the spa company come out and clean the spa, which they did the next day. The spa company crew were very nice and did a nice job. Never heard from the property manager again. Never heard from the cleaning crew. We definitely left the property cleaner than when we arrived. Hopefully the cleaning crew gets there act together.

Beware of “Karen”
First I would say that the communication with the Deadwood Connections was great. But when it comes to the “owner” of the property beware. We are on our 2nd day of our 10 day stay and the property owner came and made her presents known. She was so rude and made sure that you knew it was “her” house and you better abide by the neighborhood rules. We had not done anything and my stepson was just driving his motorcycle up the (steep) driveway and she rushed over because his exhaust was loud. She was rude and not friendly at all. Pretty much started the stay off on a bad note. We had the neighbor behind us come and chat with us and he even couldn’t believe this lady said anything because there were so many UTVs in the neighborhood that were just as loud if not louder.
I would not recommend this property to anyone unless you like “Karen” knocking at your door.
The house is ok but the stairs that go upstairs to the master bedroom are so narrow that we had 2 of our family members fall down them. I mean they are super narrow, so be super careful ( you can’t walk up them or down them without putting your foot sideways because your feet with fall off the step). The bathtub upstairs needs to have some sort of non slip mat on the bottom. The tub is so slick that I would not let anyone use it because if you fall you have nothing to grab onto. It was pretty bad.
Other then the problem we had with the property owner our stay went ok.

Carrie- thank you for the information! The owner actually lives in another state so we will need to find out who this lady is that was bothering you. She definitely was not the owner of that home. We are sorry you had to deal with her and will find out who this person is.

Stay was ok but would have been nice to have had tv. As I said I called about it but no response j
Was nice but tv didn't work or the air conditioner called about tv never got fixed.
Beautiful location especially when it snowed. Good location. Was in the center of everywhere we visited. Only complaint was the lack of any TV service. Did have wifi available.
