Cozy Spotless Lake Cottage- Sports Lake, Gorgeous Sunsets, and Relaxation+


The Blue Cottage at North Lake has been completely refurbished with 2 main levels featuring a modern yet rustic lake house atmosphere. Our guests are surprised and elated at how clean/spotless we keep our cottage! NEW Fiber-optic Internet Speeds. The kitchen features new appliances and is well stocked. The large new deck is a great place to dine and absorb the beautiful sunsets. North Lake is a 65-foot deep, 132-acre spring-fed lake where water recreation is fun and easy with a nice sandy beach, clear water, a new dock, and many water toys including kayaks and paddle boards. A new Bennington Pontoon Boat is rentable. North Lake has great fishing with many bass, perch, and blue gill ready to strike your lure. Adirondack chairs surround the fire pit and two new large TVs offer additional nighttime entertainment in addition to star gazing from the pier. For families, a big bonus is that the kids can watch their TV shows and shut the downstairs door while the adults watch Netflix, Hulu, the Lions, or whatever :).

Location: 35 minutes from Lake Michigan, 20 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo, and 15 minutes from Meijers. Lake Michigan resort towns such as South Haven, Saugatuck, and Holland are less than 1 hour away. Timber Ridge Ski Resort is 6 miles away.

What a perfect place for a weekend with our family. The home was cute, clean, and had plenty of room. The lake was beautiful, and it was the perfect spot for relaxing, grilling, boating, playing board games, and taking walks together. Highly recommend!

We had a great time. The deck on the cottage was great as the spacing on the railings allowed for the small dogs to go outside securely. The lake was very peaceful and clear. Brenda was always available for questions etc.

What a great time! This lake house was great for our family. It is exactly as advertised and includes access to a very clean, very pleasant lake that was great for swimming and fishing. Todd was an extra bonus and was very kind and welcoming. It was nice to know he was available close by if anything was needed. Thanks again for hosting such a great place!

Excellent property! Owner went over and above when the power went out to get generator for us so not to lose the food in the fridge. Our kids loved the lake and caught lots and lots of fish from the dock. This is a property that we will certainly come back to!

It’s was a great stay!! Only thing I wish I knew was that there is no AC on the lower level and there are stairs outside from the balcony down to backyard. Other than that is was excellent!!!!!The lake is lovely clean/clear water. Nice neighbors. Good beach! Good assortment of water toys.

The Blue Cottage house was amazing and a wonderful place for vacation. Pet friendly to be able to bring the whole family. Brenda was an amazing and caring host, and went above and beyond to have banner and birthday stuff to make the 9 year old birthday girl feel special!! She was quick to respond to any questions. The house was accommodating and had everything we could need. The access to the lake was wonderful, we spent our days swimming. Can’t wait to come back again!!

The Blue Cottage was the perfect venue for our annual 40 year friends trip: cozy, clean, authentic, functional, lakefront, access to a pontoon boat, fire pit, and seamless process. Brenda and Todd were available and eager to help throughout the process and during our stay. Because of this, we all had great meals, reduced stress, a lot of laughs, and new memories. Our side trip to the Gobles Antique Mall contributed additional to the local economy, and is highly recommended.We were fortunate to find this cottage and grateful that it was shared with our group. The cabin was perfect and we had such an amazing vacation with our family of 7 plus our dog!!! The water was beautiful and was great for our granddaughters to swim in, and the rest of us, along with the sandy beach!!! We enjoyed sitting on the patio and loved the new swing! We saw an eagle every morning, 2 baby raccoons, snapping turtles, a loon and deer!! The cabin was accommodating with the kitchen supplies, beds, etc. The host was very responsive, helpful and friendly!!! Will be back next year for sure!!

We had an amazing stay at the Blue Cottage for the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was perfectly cozy in a stunning location especially with the snow that we got. Brenda was extremely responsive and accommodating, even offering us to stay an additional night after getting hit with a foot of snow the night before we were schedule to depart.

I have been searching for this type of vacation house and experience forever!! The smaller size and beauty of North Lake were ideal for capping off summer, with a few of our kids and grandkids. I loved being able to watch them feel brave about jumping off the dock, float and the amazing pontoon that they allowed us to rent. There were tons of beach toys and floats. WE could have left our stuff at home. Our one daughter always gets skunked on being able to bring her dog on our family vacation. We were thrilled that this was pet friendly The house was immaculate . The mix of older ( mid century modern vibe) wood and updated appliances , kitchen utensils and bathrooms was the perfect mix. The beds were super comfy. The host Brenda was very efficient and friendly with the communication. Her brother was visiting on the lake and ran down to help us maneuver the pontoon out of the dock ( we aren't too experienced). Whatever you would want for a peaceful lake front vacation, this place had. WE happened to be there on Labor Day Weekend , where all the residents light bonfires around the lake "( Ring of Fire"). Sweet ending.

We had a great time staying at the blue cottage. The house is well equipped with everything we needed and brenda was quick to respond to any questions. The location on the lake with a sandy beach was ideal for our kids and being able to rent the pontoon was also amazing. Thanks Brenda!

We had a great stay! The house is so clean. We had everything we needed to make great memories. We spent time on the boat, kayaking, fishing, swinging and relaxing on the porches, we had campfires and made s’mores, and ate at great local restaurants. We hope to stay again next year! Brenda was so helpful and very easy to communicate with during our stay.

Wonderful stay at North Lake Cottage

The cottage was very comfortable for our family of 6. The lake is beautiful - perfect for swimming and boating. Brenda was a wonderful host - she left a thoughtful welcome basket for our family. Fabulous Michigan getaway

This is a lovely property. It has something for everyone, especially active kids. The upper deck is new with secure fencing (for pets and smaller children) without obstructing the spectacular views. There are stairs to get to the lower level, so older adults might find it a bit of a challenge. The lower level leads right out to another patio with a secure swing to enjoy the lake views. The sandy beach and walk in access to the lake is special, oftentimes not found in other properties. The fishing for children and adults off the new dock makes you never want to leave the property. If you are fortunate to rent the pontoon boat, please do, You will be pleasantly surprised just cruising the lake.Brenda is a thoughtful and caring host. She is there to answer questions and accommodate any needs you may have. Her family cottage is a gem.

Fantastic as always!
