I can't say enough good things about this property - there are so many fun details and thoughtful touches! We brought our 10 year old who absolutely LOVED all the games. The space was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the neighborhood is lovely with great proximity to restaurants, hiking and downtown.
My friend and I had a blast here. Host was super welcoming and accomodating. Great location near downtown and the blue ridge parkway. The place is clean and well decorated with some cool memorabilia. Machines are in great condition and we made sure to play all of them. Nice chill grillout spot in the back yard too. Thanks so much for the stay. Will happily recommend to folks checking out the Asheville area!
This place is so cool and so much fun! The host was very friendly and showed us how to turn the arcade on and off. What a cool place! We loved playing Halloween pinball and Galaga with the rapid fire mod :).
We had so much fun gaming at the Gamer House! We couldn't wait to get back to the house after our planned activities in Asheville. It was a great way to have some quality family time. Gabe was a fantastic host!
Perfect surprise birthday gift for my gamer husband. He had a blast putting top scores on Ninja Turtles pinball. The large screen and projector was a hit with my son. Lot’s of area shops and food. We got takeout and spent the night watching five nights at Freddy’s. Ryan is very quick to respond to any questions and is very kind. We would definitely stay here again.
What a great experience! And folks with kids — I can tell you that the games will appeal to adults as much as to the kids. I was afraid my husband wasn’t going to get any sleep — he was up super late playing the games. I would definitely recommend this to anybody visiting the area. So unique!
While planning our mini getaway to Asheville my son was in awe of this property and upon arrival, walking in to all the games on and 80’s music blasting from the speaker…it lived up to its expectations! Shortly after we arrived Gabe, the owner, came down to greet us and show us how everything turned on and off. Super easy, as he has almost everything controlled by one tablet! Gabe is a great host, super friendly, gave us his recommendations on places to hit up while in town. Beds were comfy, watching movies on the projection screen was great, the outside of the property is super unique. Just overall loved our stay!
An oasis of 8 bit mayhem. Perhaps the single most difficult aspect of this property is the temptation to remain within it instead of exploring the town itself. You’re sleeping at an arcade, ya’ll. All manner of different style games for many tastes. Everything is very loud when all is on, it’s whir-of-air-conditioner quiet when all shut down for the night. Scant few questions were answered quickly. This place is pretty awesome.
This place is amazing. We had a great time, and everything was exactly as it was in the pictures. The owner was super helpful and accomodating.
The games ranged from 80s classics to modern high-tech pinball machines. My son loved the mini golf simulator, I got addicted to the Halloween pinball, and my wife stuck with the classic Pac Man.
The only thing to keep in mind is to know what you're getting. This is not a vacation rental with a few video games - it is a full blown arcade with a few (very comfortable) beds. The bathroom was spotless and very modern.
The location can't be beat. It isn't walkable to downtown, but $8 and 5 minutes gets you there in an Uber. Also a super short hop over to Biltmore, and Ingles and Publix are closeby.
A once in a lifetime experience...
When we initially arrived at the rental we looked around and really had to confirm the address because nestled in a quiet neighborhood is the most unique place that we've ever stayed. From the local art to the insane (and free) game options, this was the BEST anniversary place to stay. The rooms were spotless, had incredible bedding, and I even took pictures of the pillow brand to purchase when we came home. At first we were a little overwhelmed with the sounds and lights, but he was so patient explaining how to work everything. The first night we had the crazy loud arcade experience and the second night opted for the total silence option with a simple click of a button. There is a very advanced technology package that allows you to customize the games you want to play and is honestly "stupid-proof". He was always there if we needed him, but gave us total privacy.
We have had such a wonderful experience with this host that before we left we wanted to confirm we could bring our whole family. The location is 2 miles to downtown but still feels like a retreat.
Our host was an absolute pleasure to work with and gave us some amazing local recommendations. We've never visited Asheville before and it is such a cool town. He provided his personal contact information and was always available to reach out to when we needed help or had a question.
The art district was our favorite experience and everyone in the city was so sweet to interact with. We also enjoyed the local artisans and the fun vibe that this community offers. The pictures DO NOT do this rental justice. This was by far the most perfect Asheville getaway that encapsulates the local culture and encourages relaxation. We will be booking here again!
Gabe is a great host and very attentive, yet also created a very private environment. This place is amazingly fun and the perfect balance to other Asheville activities. Travel to all points of interest is simple - both in own vehicle and ride share. Highly recommend. Our favorite games were OffRoad and the Halloween Pinball.
The place was super fun and a nice change of pace from your typical Vrbo experience. The host was very kind and personable. Would recommend to people of all ages!
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay with Gabe!! He was incredible with communication, showed us how to work the many many arcade games, and just an overall nice guy. Pictures don’t do this place justice, you need to stay here and see it for yourself!
We enjoyed or family time at Gabe’s place! Nothing better than having your own personal arcade!! My 8 year old loved it and so did we! Everything was clean and cozy!
My family and I had a blast. Having all of the games to play after a day of exploring was a nice change from just watching TV at a hotel. Gabe was very hospitable and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. It was very clean and well taken care of. The location is also great for most anything you would want to do in Asheville. We would definitely stay here again. 10/10
Had a wonderful time renting this property! The location was great, the host was so friendly and helpful, and we had an absolute blast playing all the machines. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone; we’ll definitely be back!
Such a fun place! Gabe was very friendly and showed us how all the games worked. Our kids had the best night playing all the games. Putt was their favorite! Great location and cute neighborhood.
Took my boys (ages 20, 19 & 15) to stay here while we were in town visiting the Biltmore. We were all very comfortable, it was spacious, the beds, pillows, bedding was all very good quality. Everything was very clean and the host was helpful, polite & very accommodating. The arcade games were so fun for all of us and a nice variety of them also. I really hope to return here again!

I am a purest when it comes to arcade games. you will see no multicades only original games played on the original circuit boards. While I try and keep all games played on CRT's I will make an acceptation to this once in awhile depending on the game. All games have been restored from non working games and brought back to life. A lot of blood sweat and tears went into this project, please enjoy!!
