Creekside is an authentic log cabin next to beautiful Rhine Creek. If peace & quiet is what you want, you have found it. Enjoy sitting by a cozy fire or sitting by the relaxing sounds of the creek. This two bedroom cabin offers authentic cabin living. The kitchen comes well-equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator and microwave to handle all the essentials. The porch offers a grand place to enjoy listening to the babbling brook. The firepit is the perfect setting for campfires and s'mores making. The creek is great for trout fishing or wading, you and/or your pet might even enjoy cooling off in the creek on a hot day. Exterior driveway facing cameras installed for your safety.

Weekend Trip

We loved our stay, cabin was everything we were looking for, the lot was woodsy, with creek in backyard our dogs enjoyed every minute of exploring and swimming! Very remote area, we packed everything we needed for food and our weekend, but there is a dollar general in town for other needs, otherwise you have to drive 20+ min from the cabin for the next town over. No neighboring houses viewable from the yard, feels very private even though houses are near by. Loved, loved loved it! Location was also ideal for traveling to blackwater falls, and we ventured over to MD for a day trip, couldn’t have been happier with this selection and location, it was exactly what we were looking for! Plus the owners were very friendly, and accommodating with our check in time!

The cabin was so quaint. Very well stocked kitchen. Centrally located to Black Water Falls and other attractions. The host spent a lot of attention to detail. Nice unexpected amenities. Awesome place to relax and reconnect with loved ones. Will be back for sure.

Beautiful relaxing stay

We wanted a little getaway for our anniversary and the cabin and area were perfect. Friendly people and wonderful nature right on the property and gorgeous waterfalls 20 minutes away. Cabin was clean, warm and had everything. Host Michael got right back to me on a question I had. Beds comfy and so peaceful. So cute inside. Location close to a lot of scenic little towns and Deep Creek, MD. Convenient stores nearby had a great selection of items and breakfast of buckwheat pancakes at restaurant 5 minutes away was great! Perfect stay for us.

Why they chose this property

This is an authentic log cabin along a beautiful creek in the woods. This property is close to many state parks in West Virginia and nearby Maryland. Hiking, biking, or just relax by the firepit or creek. Grill out on our charcoal grill or head up the mountain to the quaint towns of Thomas and Davis, WV just a short drive away for a nice dinner or some live music. There are a few different options for skiing or tubing within 30 or 40 minutes. Across the line in Maryland you can find skiing, boating and numerous restaurants to choose from. Cathedral Park is only a one minute drive away - Cathedral State Park is the state’s largest old-growth forest and contains one of the largest stands of virgin hemlock in West Virginia. Designated a National Natural Landmark, this 133-acre park offers sanctuary for these ancient trees, as well as 170 species of trees, ferns and wildflowers. During spring and summer, Cathedral State Park offers excellent hiking on its three miles of trails and unique photography opportunities.
