About this property

Relaxing Family Home with Hot Tub in Historic Jackson

Newly remodeled two story house, walking distance from main street Jackson, and nestled in the gold country foothills. Ideal for individuals looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway from the city.

Ten minute drive to the Mokelumne River or Jackson Rancharia Casino, and 10 miles to Lake Pardee. Explore the Carson Pass up Hwy 88 or along the historic Golden Chain Hwy of 49.

Great location for a week or weekend long home-base while working remotely or getting to know the beautiful and historic area.

My family and I spent the first year of ownership expanding the kitchen, adding the fireplace, repainting, and redoing the ceiling and walls. The upstairs ceiling has beautiful uniquely stained wood panels.

The queen bedroom is named our Second Wind room due to the lighter atmosphere and morning sunlight. It is a good room for those looking to wake up early feeling complete rejuvenation and energy.

The king bedroom is named Dormant Truffle due to the tranquil and cozy setting of the darker walls and softer light with the western facing window. Ideal for guests who love sleeping in under heavy covers then waking up to fresh coffee and a classic country breakfast.

The downstairs has a large communal room that is set up with large glass work desk and some exercise equipment. The room opens to the back yard with a large sliding glass door.

Connecting to the downstairs communal space is the third bedroom with the second bathroom.

Guests have complete access to enjoy the entire house and property, apart from the garage. The backyard is completely fenced for the use of dogs, as long as they are cleaned up after.

Other things to note
The fire extinguisher is located on the kitchen.

No smoking/vaping inside at all.
If you must smoke/vape, please do so outside on the deck or in the yard, with nearby doors and windows closed. Non-smokers are bothered by the faintest lingering smells of smoke that smokers oftentimes don’t even notice.

Very Comfortable House, Perfect for teenager privacy.
Ethan was a great communicator. We decided to come in early and leave later, as the whole family preferred the house to hotels. The beds are extremely comfortable, better than some of the high end hotels we’ve stayed at. Jackson has great food and grocery delivery. The house is so comfy. The kitchen had everything you could possible think of and we LOVED the outdoor deck in the evenings. My 82 year old mother in law has no problem getting around the top floor. The TV had all the right stuff available to keep everyone happy. Ethan did a great remodel of an old house. We have to run out early due to a wild fire. I hope everything is fine with Ethan and his family. The pictures from the Vista point were fabulous, before and after the fire. The house is fine, we just didn’t think tourist should be around in an emergency situation. Thank you Ethan and we hope all is well with you and your family.

Wonderful place for family stay
My daughter was married at the Heirloom Inn in Ione. Ethan's house in Jackson was a perfect location for my family to stay. The house was clean and comfortable. Easy for us to pick up other family staying at the Best Western. Wish we had more time to enjoy the spa! Thanks Ethan for an enjoyable stay.

Our family grew up locally around Amador and Calaveras Counties. Central hwy 49 is more of my home than any one town in the area. This property was my mother's house but now is managed by my 4 brothers and I since she passed on. At least one of us is always in the area.
