About the host
Hosted by Madeline Hoge
Madeline is the Founder of Belle-Hampton Consulting, a practice focused on working closely with Business Families around Governance best practices, long-term Success Mapping, and Generational Succession planning. She is the author of Sleeping in the Valley, a historical biography of prominent Virginia families. She is also a co-author of the children’s book series, Can You Find, Did You Know under the pen name CJ Corki.
Tom is responsible for the Family Business Strategy practice of Belle-Hampton Consulting. He works closely with Family businesses on their long-term vision, mission, and governing values while supporting them and establishing a rhythm for the successful execution of their strategic plan. As a hobby photographer, he learned most of his skills photographing sporting events but is a nature and travel enthusiast.
They raised three boys, two of whom have dyslexia, a learning difference most parents and teachers don’t understand. They seek to bring awareness of this often hidden disability which brings on poor self-esteem and depression.
Madeline, Tom, and their two Labrador retrievers, Nettie and Branch, live on historic family farm, Belle-Hampton, that has been in Tom’s family for seven generations. Their passion is to be good stewards of the family legacy and help others do the same for their family.
