About this property

Just minutes from Mesa Verde and all the Four Corners has to offer, this charming loft apartment in the mountains of Mancos is your perfect home base. The serene five acre property provides plenty to explore, partake of some outdoor grilling, or just kick back by one of the fire pits after a day of hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, off-roading, or shopping at the art galleries in Mancos.

The unit can sleep five to six people with queen beds located in two sleeping nooks and a full size futon. The kitchenette come complete with small refrigerator, microwave, electric skillet, single burner, and Kuerig coffee maker. The cozy living area features a tv/DVD player with Roku and wifi.

Pets are permitted, but there is a $15 per day fee.

You will also have ample room for your off-road toys - RV, camper, ATV, snow mobile, etc.

Hey Y'all! My name is Michael and I moved to Mancos in August 2021 to teach at Fort Lewis College in Durango, where I teach theatre and music. I have lived all over the country and made the decision to move to this area because of it natural beauty, the amazing outdoor adventures, and the people. I live on the property in the main house with my three cats, and I am home sporadically (but am always available if you need anything).

Location is what this property is all about! This is your perfect home base is you are day tripping throughout the Four Corners or taking advantage of the outdoor adventures available within minutes of the property. Seriously, you are within an hour in every direction of SO MUCH - Durango, Durango/Silverton Train, Purgatory, Telluride, Four Corners, UTE Mountain Casino, etc. If you are coming here to play, the property offers tons of room to park your toys (RV, camper, ATVs, motorcycles, boat, etc.), pitch a tent, relax on the huge porch, cook or toast marshmallows at one of the two open fire pits, or just kick it in the cozy cottage. You are five minutes from Summit Lake, ten minutes from Mancos State Park, and twelve minutes from Mesa Verde!

What makes this property unique

The most unique benefit of the property is its proximity to lots of outdoor adventure, and your ability to park all of your toys just steps from your front door, and its affordability. You aren't going to find this kind of outdoor adventurer retreat in Durango for the price.
