Peaceful Retreat

We had a great stay. We enjoyed the outdoor space. The pond, paddleboat, paddle boards were a great way to relax after a morning hike and a day at Mesa Verde. The indoor space was great, too. It was nothing fancy but everything that we needed. The house had everything we needed to cook meals. There were restaurants, grocery store, coffee shops within a short drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice home on a park like property located close to Mesa Verde. Very well stocked kitchen and easy check in check out. Only suggestion would be to replace the mattresses. I would definitely return.

Steve and Cynthia's property is beautiful, with woods, a pond and the Mancos River flowing through it. The rental house (we stayed in the three-bedroom one) was nicely furnished with Western artwork and family pieces (saddles, etc) that are beautiful and meaningful. The beds are comfortable and we had everything we needed. In addition, their place (Lazy K) is perfectly situated within the Mancos Valley, so it is close to great restaurants in Mancos, and the wonderful national parks of Mesa Verde and Canyons of the Ancients. It is also a 30-minute drive from Durango, which is a cool city near the Needles and other beautiful mountains. We would definitely stay again the next time we are in the area. Thanks!

Awesome Ranch with a touch of family

We enjoyed our stay so much. We had 2 couples so it was perfect with 2 queen bedrooms and each our own bathroom. We had everything that we needed to cook meals and enjoy downtime but were mostly out taking in the local attractions (DS train, Mesa Verde, million dollar highway and Silverton). The owners were very nice and we enjoyed chatting with them about horses and mules. Some of the decor is family memorabilia. Also it was nice having some staple items in the fridge and cupboards. Overall we would definitely stay there again.

The home and property couldn't have been better. Kitchen was well appointed and maintained. The property is shady and peaceful. Anything we needed was close by, including activities and the airport. We did have to buy a fan as the property does not have air conditioning. We left the fan we purchased, i the home as a "pay it forward."

A REAL GEM OF A HOME IN MANCOS, COLORADO, LOCATED JUST MINUTES FROM MESA VERDE AND CLOSE TO CANYONS OF THE ANCIENTS. 30-45 MINUTES FROM DURANGO AND AN HOUR OR SO FROM BOTH THE FOUR CORNERS REGION AND THE ANCIENT RUINS IN AZTEC, NM, WE EVEN MADE THE LONGER ROUND TRIP TO CHACO CANYON IN ONE DAY. LOVELY PROPERTY ON ACREAGE WITH A POND, HAMMOCK, PADDLEBOARDS AND PADDLEBOAT. THE HOUSE IS 3 BR......PERFECT FOR A FAMILY OR SMALL GROUP OF FRIENDS. WE ALWAYS COOK OUR OWN MEALS WHEN TRAVELING AND THE KITCHEN IS EXTREMELY WELL STOCKED. A WOOD PELLET FIREPLACE IN THE LIVING ROOM HEATS UP QUICKLY. CYNTHIA IS EXTREMELY ACCOMODATING AND RESPONSIVE. THIS HOME IS A REALLY NICE FIND.
