This is a well appointed property that is beautiful and relaxing but still had plenty of activities for the 3-generations of family that stayed. We would highly recommend a stay at this lovely home.
My wife, our dog and I had a lovely stay at David's property. The house and grounds are beautiful and David was a fantastic host - he was kind enough to have coffee ready for us upon arrival! We will definitely be coming back in the future!
Great stay at David’s property for a West Point football and family weekend. The house is well appointed and everything is clearly labeled with instructions. The property is beautifully manicured but unfortunately due to weather we didn’t get to use the outdoors space much. David is a very thorough host. Be sure to check out Bad Seed Cider Company just 6 minutes away. Great place!
After a year at a hotel for the holidays visiting the family we decided we needed something homier this year. We couldn't have asked for much more from the place or the owner.
Fantastic property - our family of 6 stayed for a long weekend during Fall and had a great time. The outdoor space is beautiful - with a fire pit and acres of open space to roam. Inside, there's a well-equipped kitchen and living areas, plus an amazing games room downstairs - especially useful if the weather is bad. David was a pleasure to deal with. Would stay again & highly recommend!
property is truly magical, and David is an incredible host! From the moment you arrive, you feel completely at home. Every detail is perfect—from the lush garden and sparkling pool to the cozy game room in the basement. The lake, framed by a graceful weeping willow, looks like something out of a storybook and made for unforgettable moments.David went above and beyond with wonderful recommendations and shared the most fun, heartfelt stories about the property’s history, which made our stay even more special. I can’t say enough good things—I loved absolutely everything about this place. It’s pure perfection, and I can’t wait to come back!
As Advertised. Dave was very responsive and accomodating.
Just to clarify, 4/5 is not a reflection on Dave/Property. I typically reserve 5/5 for above-and-beyond circumstances.
Dave was great as a host, very responsive and easy to get ahold of. He was accommodating in letting us check in earlier than the posted time.
We stayed here with 2 small kids under 2. Between 6 adults and 2 kids, plenty of space, and enough to do in the home itself, if you're stuck indoors due to inclement weather (which is what happened with us).
The place is kept in good condition/cleanliness, and overall, good experience.
First off, the house and surrounding property are gorgeous. The backyard has a pool, grill, beautiful canopied dining area basketball court, and fire pit. There was so much to do that we were entertained all weekend without having to leave. There was plenty of space for 8 adults to sleep comfortably and kitchen was fully stocked! David was a great, accommodating host- even welcoming us to use vegetables from his garden! He was extremely communicative and available at all times. Great location- only a short drive to Poughkeepsie, beacon, cold spring, and several hiking areas. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again the next time I’m in the area!
This property was an incredible place to spend our weekend. The house is very clean and decorated beautifully. There was not a single second where we were not occupied with something fun to do. Pool basketball, fire pit, pool table ping pong. So much to do. The host was also a very awesome person to deal with. Very helpful and there for whatever we needed. 10/10 recommend would definitely stay again!
