About this property
Historic Creekside Home - 2br 2.5ba - Downtown North East
Built in 1875, this newly renovated two bedroom home, is centrally located in downtown North East. Modern finishes and an open concept living space compliment the original wood floors, clawfoot tub and exposed brick walls. All the amenities of Main Street are steps away, yet the home is tucked away on a quiet street with a creek in the back yard. One block from North East Park, Anchor Marina and the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay.
Every aspect of this home has been remodeled while preserving the original details of a bygone era. The living room is flanked by seven foot windows and includes an Article queen sleeper sofa. The open concept flows into the well-equipped kitchen and sunroom with exposed brick walls. The first floor includes a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub as well as a dining space, laundry and an additional half bath.
In the upper level you'll find the master bedroom with a king sized 12" memory foam mattress and a second guest bedroom which also includes a queen sized 12" memory foam mattress. Both bedrooms share a second full bathroom upstairs.
Off the rear of the home, you have a deck and BBQ grill that overlooks the yard and creek. The creek is a tidal tributary of the North East river and you'll often find ducks and geese in the yard.
Please note! The stairs in our home are steep and the stair treads are more narrow than modern homes. This is quite common for the time period, but we do want guests to be aware if you have difficulty with steps.

This house was perfect for my family! Beds were warm and comfortable, the living area and games perfect! and ducks in the back yard!Wonderful stay. Will definitely like to stay again.
We had an amazing weekend as a family! It was perfect for myself and my teenagers. I loved how we could walk to town or the park to find things to do. The house was immaculate and we appreciated the charm of the exposed brick and the historic elements of the home. We would definitely come and stay here again! Elk Neck State Park is an easy drive south of here for a beach experience and some beautiful hikes as well. The town is a quaint little street of cute shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this host for anyone wanting to enjoy a quiet and relaxing spot.
Place was clean, comfy, well appointed and perfect location to walk to all the shops, bars and restaurants in North East. Owners were VERY responsive.Would stay again anytime!!
The house was just as pictured. It was beautiful and very clean. We took advantage of the location and walked to Woody’s for dinner. I will definitely rent it again if I am staying in the area.
Home was in great location for our trip plans. House was in excellent condition ans well stocked. First floor high ceilings and large windows made it bright and airy. Would definitely stay here again.
Loved our stay in this home. It is charming and beautiful very clean, the host responds quickly, the neighbors are friendly, very quaint town, loved our time there. Highly recommend
This home was incredible! So charming, extremely clean, had all the amenities we needed. Amazing location - we walked to Main Street to enjoy dinner and drinks all three nights. So thankful for this great find! Host was wonderful and very responsive. Perfect spot as we prepared to/did drop our daughter at college.
What a relaxing stay at this beautifully restored home in North East! Everything was as listed and communication was great with this host. Easy walk into town and the house was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable for our family of 3.
Truly enjoyed staying here. The reason for our visit was a wedding nearby. But we walked into town several times and enjoyed the local shops and restaurants. Walked and ran around the park at the end of the road. Hiked and MTB rode around the Elk Neck park and lighthouse. Tony was super responsive and helpful.
Please be aware that the stairs are exceptionally steep and the steps themselves are short...my foot is 8.5 woman's and my heel hung off...making it difficult to carry my suitcase up the stairs. Had it been a large suitcase I would not have been able to do it. Otherwise the place and location was great!

Lisa, thank you for your review. We clearly note in our property description that it has steep / narrow steps... "Please note! The stairs in our home are steep and the stair treads are more narrow than modern homes. This is quite common for the time period, but we do want guests to be aware if you have difficulty with steps."
We absolutely loved this house! They had a multitude of extras from TP, trash bags, laundry detergent, even butter and chips etc.. beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Owners were always prompt in responses to our questions. We definitely would stay here again in the future!!!
I love staying at this wonderful home. It is my second time and it is clean, updated and has everything you might need.
I love you can easily walk into town for a coffee or a meal. And the town is super friendly.
Host is fabulous and makes the stay perfect! I look forward to my next stay. Karen from Los Angeles
We loved the historic charm of the house, combined with modern conveniences. It was clean, and welcoming, with special touches like snacks, coffee & teas, and some games to enjoy (which we did)! Communication was impeccable - had a few questions, and the messages were answered right away.
Thanks so much for creating a lovely home away from home!
The description was very accurate! The home was very clean and located on a quiet street with a driveway. We walked to town for dinner and another night for ice cream. You could walk less than a mile to the river also. Very updated decor and lighting and beds were comfortable. They have 2 types of coffee makers. Highly recommended this property!!
