Little Fork Lookout
Very nice home for our group of 3 families. The house was spotless when we arrived. Check-in was flawless. The furniture and decorations were perfect for that north woods feel. We did realize that the path to the lake was steep from reading the reviews, but we had no idea it was this steep. It appeared like the owners use a UTV to go down to the lake, but the UTV was not accessible to us. Please understand that the path leading to the lake is not for anyone with a disability or difficulty in climbing steep inclines. When you go down to the lake for the day, you want to make sure that you don't forget anything in the house, trust me. The shoreline was good for swimming and the dock was great for the boats. The deck was nice and it includes a beautiful pellet grill. The house doesn't have much for dish towels/rags so bring some of your own. Overall, a wonderful property in a nice quiet location.

Beautiful property
Enjoyed our stay snowmobiling. Hill to lake was to icy to get up and down with sleds, but we were able to access trails from the road. Will definitely check to see if it’s available next time around!

Wonderful Lake House!
The large lake house was very clean and had many features that our group of 12 really loved: ~Lake house was BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED - very "Up North" feel ~6 bedrooms (2 of 6 were Master Bedrooms) & additional Futon beds ~5 Bathrooms- great for our large group ~One table big enough for ALL OF US to enjoy meals/cards at as well as a 2nd table in the kitchen and a table out on the deck ~Large deck with various seating options and an outdoor fireplace ~firepit for roasting s'mores ~large pier: kids had room to swim, fish and we had room for the pontoon we rented from Watercraft sales. (There was a pontoon tied at the pier, but it didn't impact our use of the area) ~Kayaks, lily-pad, tube & canoe were enjoyed by many of us ~Kitchen was VERY WELL equipped with everything we needed including plenty of space to store food items and it was very helpful to have a 2nd fridge in the lower-level storage area ~plenty of towels but just in case 2 washing machine/driers ~Lots of games, a pool table and darts...we never even once thought of putting a tv on during the week ~large driveway for vehicles (we saw lots of deer, turkeys and even a BEAR ((so cool)) cross the long driveway) ~garbage dumpster on site (we took recycling fifteen minutes away to Three Lakes Transfer Station @ 1313 South Big Lake Loop Rd....no need to sort and free to drop off and most importantly keeping it out of the landfill- check hours online) ~Little grocery store in Three Lakes was close when we needed things and didn't want to Eagle River or Rhinelander. We also found a few cute stores in town. #supportlocal While there were many, many great things about this property it is new rental, and we noticed a few things that were minor or are still a work in progress (three rooms didn't have dressers, water pressure issue in one bathroom etc.). We did have #1 major disappointment/complaint with the rental: the walkway to the lake. ~ At the time of our stay (end of July 2022) the path to the lake was extremely difficult to walk down and down due to the rocks that were on the walkway. The rocks were loose, large and slippery. We intentionally avoided them in the morning (dewy) and after the rain. Daily, we resorted to driving my father back and forth to a nearby boat landing so he could enjoy boat rides with the family. There were times when some in our party wanted to go by the water but opted not to -due to the state of the path. We did inform the property manager of this matter and we hope the homeowners are going to improve this important feature for future guests. Kudos to vacasa management for responding immediately to our concern call. We really loved this property (overall owners did a great job furnishing) and if the walkway issue was resolved we would without a doubt be interested in renting it again in the future.

Great
Overall our trip was great, however a small mishap with checkin, we received an early check in text and when we arrived, the place wasn’t clean. We DO understand it was a technical issue. They came quickly and cleaned and were very friendly! My biggest issue was not being able to contact the owner/manager. I had questions leading up to our vacation and they all went unanswered in the chat. And dealing with Vacasa for the cleaning issues, it seemed to be automated until I finally got the number for Vacasa customer service…. We much prefer to deal with the owner/managers. It’s a much better experience that way. Also, we hope that in future construct (as we know this is a new build) there will be better ways to get down that mountain to the lake? Pretty steep. Possibly leave renters a vehicle of some sort? Other than that, the house is beautiful, the area is great! We would definitely stay again.
