Beacon Retreat with Hudson River views and access to hiking trails and downtown!

PROXIMITY TO WEST POINT (17 miles) DOWNTOWN BEACON/ THE ROUNDHOUSE (2 miles)
Our Beacon home is perfect for a family or two to enjoy the great outdoors and all that Beacon has to offer, including hiking out the back door, great restaurants and brew pubs, Dia Beacon Museum, music at the Towne Crier and many other local attractions. Should you prefer to stay at home, the home sits on 3 acres of peace, with a stunning river view with incredible sunsets. Just out the back door is a large patio with a gas fire table, gas grill, outside shower and an inground pool with diving board and slide. The little ones will love the swing set, and less little ones the ping pong and foos ball table in the basement, along with large TV for watching movies. There is an office for private work at home meetings and a formal living room with view to Mount Beacon.
Our home has hosted many a family gathering and accommodates it well. The open kitchen, living area, with fireplace is the central hub and cooking is easy and efficient on the 6 burner gas stove with griddle and double ovens. There are two dishwashers to make clean up easy. A large mudroom with lockers and washer and dryer keeps the group mess contained in one room for ease and uncluttered living while on your vacation.

Everything we had hoped for. The village of Beacon is a gem, the surrounding area rich in culture. Activities galore! The house is attractive, comfortable, beautifully situated with a view of the Hudson and a very nice pool as a nearby ‘water feature’. We had a wonderful stay, and hope to have another one!

The place was a fantastic getaway for a long weekend. All the amenities were great. Pool was vacuumed the day we arrived and was pristine throughout the stay. Very spacious and accommodating for our big group. Would absolutely stay again!

Beatiful property

Property was as described. Pool was lovely, gorgeous views & awesome sunsets. Bedrooms were great & everyone slept well. Kitchen had everything we needed. Two dishwashers were wonderful to have. Lots of games and books around. Melissa was very responsive & accommodating, a pleasure to deal with. Just a really nice place & we had a great time. Didn’t want to leave!

Beautiful, spacious home for group get-together

Our group had a terrific long weekend in this beautiful home in Beacon. The house is very welcoming, with an open flow of comfortable living space. The swimming pool and sitting areas out back were very enjoyable and offered quiet privacy as well as a nice view of the Hudson River.

a wonderful way to celebrate a milestone birthday

The house was simply fantastic. It was spacious and welcoming, and extremely comfortable. The basement playroom was a tremendous hit with our three grandchildren, ages 2 and a half, 7, and 11, and the adults also enjoyed playing darts there and ping pong, and occasionally working out with weights and the treadmill. There were art supplies galore and tons of videos and an electric keyboard that delighted everyone. We all loved the pool, and as parents and grandparents, appreciated the safety measures ensuring that no little ones could slip out of the house to the pool without setting off the alarm. We had wonderful evenings building a fire and roasting marshmallows and enjoyed the spacious, well equipped kitchen. The house is very close to great hiking trails and to the town of Beacon. We wanted a house where three generations could celebrate my husband’s 75th birthday and we had 5 days of fun and togetherness in a beautiful setting. Couldn’t ask for more!

Beautiful, spacious home with Hudson River view

This home was the perfect place for our reunion of college friends. The beds were comfy, the pool was relaxing, and there was plenty of space for us to sit around and catch up. It is close to town and local sites. The owner was available and easy to communicate with. Loved it!

Wedding Weekend in Beacon

Our stay in this stunning Beacon Home surpassed our expectations. The home is meticulous and exactly as pictured with views of the Hudson River and easy access to all Beacon and the surrounding area has to offer. Our family, my husband, grown children and grandchildren were in Beacon for our youngest daughter's wedding at a local venue. Melissa, our host, was responsive and available throughout the process and our check-in and check-out all went smoothly. The pool provided a fun activity for everyone, as well as much needed relief from the heat! It was an amazing long weekend for my family and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Beyond our expectations

We decided to take our grown children and grandchildren on a family vacation since we’re a bit scattered geographically. Just wanted time together. This house is amazing. It was immaculate. Stocked with every amenity. The views are spectacular, peaceful, healing. I cannot think of a better space to reconnect and enjoy your people. The owner was immediately responsive and genuinely cared about our needs and comfort. Speaking of comfort…even the beds were incredibly comfortable. The house is set up for both togetherness and ability to do your own thing. The pool was fantastic. My kids and grandkids took advantage of everything. Down in the basement was like an entertainment haven for any age. Toddler toys, ping pong, punching bag, basketball outside. If you are an active family like we are there is even equipment for skateboarding, basketball, tennis, pool toys, pool slide, etc. I can’t say enough about how much it meant to spend time with my family in this kind of environment. We ranged in age from 2-73. Every single one of us loved it. The home and owners could not possibly have been more accommodating and the home had everything. One more thing….both my boys and I are serious cooks. The kitchen is to die for. We utilized and enjoyed every amenity. Do yourself and your family a favor and go to this home. Our time was priceless. Thank you to the owners

Very nice house

This is a very nice house. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is in mint condition. The furniture and beds are nice and comfortable. The pool is very nice with diving board and slide. The neighborhood is beautiful and the view of the Hudson River is exceptional! Melissa is always responsive to any issues. Our family really enjoyed our stay!

Far exceeds expectations

I booked this property almost 2 years earlier as a "home base" during my daughters wedding weekend . The minute we walked into the impeccably clean house you can feel the warmth of this home. Although it is large and spacious, the decor, the brightness and the views all exude cozy and familiar. Every detail has been thought out from availability of fun activities to stocking the house with anything you may need during your stay. The property is stunning- beautiful, perfectly maintained grounds and pool. Melissa is available within minutes to respond to any questions. If you are looking for a magnificent home in a perfectly serene location (2 miles from Main street) BOOK IT. You will not be sorry.

Ladies Weekend

This house is as nice as it looks online. It was very clean. There was plenty of space for eight of us. It has a great dining room and kitchen. There is plenty of room to hang out together in the family room and living room. The pool overlooking the Hudson is great.

2nd stay as good as the first

This is our second time staying at this property, and it was wonderful. The house is large and comfortable. It is very clean and well appointed. The host is extremely responsive. The views of both the mountains and the Hudson River are gorgeous and the area is very quiet. A perfect place to relax and enjoy everything The Hudson Valley has to offer.

Awesome stay in great location

Melissa was a great host and the property was awesome. The house had everything we needed for a fun weekend in Beacon with friends. It was remote enough to feel like you were in nature but was close driving distance to a bunch of towns including Beacon and Cold Spring. Unfortunately the weather was not great while we were there, however it seemed like the house was equipped with fun outdoor and summer activities. The house would be perfect for a large family, multiple families, or a group of friends. The bedrooms and layout were exactly as described and we really enjoyed our stay!

USMA Graduation Weekend

This home is a perfect place for a large family gathering or celebration! The open floor plan, stocked kitchen and outside pool area was perfect for our West Point Graduation. The house is more spacious than pictures depict and we really appreciated the very detailed outline of how to use all the wonderful amenities. We really appreciated all of the small touches like bath gel, dishwasher tabs, beach towels etc etc. The view was tremendous and the house is close to downtown Beacon which has some great eateries. It was about 30 minutes from West Point which was perfect for our stay.

The Hudson Valley area is a mecca for outdoor recreation and boasts many national places of interest, including the United States Military Academy at West Point, the Culinary Institute of America, Dia Beacon, and historic mansions, such as the FDR homestead on the Hudson River. There are many wineries, breweries and great restaurants, along with quaint towns such as Beacon, Rhinebeck, New Paltz and Hudson.

This home allows access to the multitude of hiking trails within a mile of our home. You can actually walk out the back door and be able to access the walking trails at Dennings Point and Madam Brett Park.
