Everything was super clean and the hosts are very easy to deal with. They came and took care of an issue with wasps for us. The view is phenomenal and having the patio to enjoy it from was great.

Comfortable space with a great view.

We had a busy weekend in the Hudson Valley, including a Saturday night wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn. This was a great place to rest up between activities, have a little alone time, and get ready for the wedding. The amazing view was an added bonus! We were happy to arrive the first time in the afternoon, as the twists and turns of the road could have been tricky in the dark.

Even Nicer Than Advertised

This beautiful self-catering apartment was perfect for us during our one week stay in the West Point area. Spotlessly clean, spacious, and convenient to USMA, it was also convenient to the village of Peekskill and the train into NYC, which took about an hour. Hyde Park and the FDR sites were also about a one hour drive away. Couldn't have had a more pleasant stay or more accommodating hosts. Terrific value for the money - recommended highly.

West Point visit

The rental is a portion of walkout basement of owners single family home. I had never stayed in a rental with this setup before. It worked out great. It had its own private entrance. It was quiet and neat and very convenient to West Point. The view overlooking the Hudson is Incredible. Highly recommend for a single or couple looking for a place with great proximity to USMA.

Amazing view and getaway!

The view in the main picture of this vrbo listing is an accurate view of what you see from the oversized window in the living area. We got to see a gorgeous clear starry night the first night. Then dense fog the next morning which was new to us and awesome. Then lightning sprawl across the dark huge sky and on our last morning, we saw a perfect sunrise! It was a full mountain top experience plus we made it over to the Dia: Beacon (30 minutes from the home) which is an amazing modern sculpture and art museum. For eats, we mostly cooked in but enjoyed Andy's restaurant in highland Falls for some great dining food.

This place is absolutely enchanting! The views are breathtaking, and the whole property feels like a fairytale castle. Inside, the apartment is beautifully and uniquely decorated - I even snapped a few photos for inspiration in my own home. The location couldn’t be better, set in the heart of the stunning Hudson Valley with scenic hikes and fascinating historic sites just minutes away. I can’t wait to come back!

Amazing views and stocked with every amenity possible!The views of the Hudson River and bridge were stunning. The unit was stocked with every possible amenity, more than any other VRBO I've stayed at. The decor was whimsical and so much fun to 'explore'. The home is at the end of a road on a very high hill (mountain?) and we felt like we were on top of the world. Close to West Point and Bear Mountain. When we initially considered booking here, I was a bit hesitant to be in a place that was 'downstairs' in someone's home, but those thoughts were eased as soon as we arrived. It was peaceful, lovely and enjoyable! Host was responsive to any questions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

If you are traveling as a COUPLE (two people), stop your comparisons now. Stay here. It is great, it is clean, it is fairly priced. It is SO much nicer than a holiday inn or other places. It is at the very top of a hill and has a great view of the Hudson. Not any good if you have a wheelchair, or with three people. The pull out couch has the original equipment one-inch thick mattress that is not useable by humans. So ONLY two people. The bedroom's mattress is comfy. It has a full box spring under a modern mattress that isn't designed for a boxspring, so the sleeping surface is higher than my wife's waist so it is like climbing into a bunk bed. The kitchen is very well stocked and the decor is fun. The furniture is comfy, there is a huge collection of coffee table books. There are vinyl records, a large TV and a great big picture window to see the river. Highly recommended. 5 stars without ANY hesitation.
