About this property

Pet friendly apartment in thriving Arvada

Work away from home or hop on the road to any of Metro-Denver's great natural attractions in this centrally located, fully furnished and nicely appointed basement apartment in a quiet neighborhood.

Guest access:
You will have your own separate entrance to the apartment. You will enter through the garage. The pin code for the garage opener will be provided to you in advance of check in. You will enter the interior door from the garage into the main house. From there the laundry room will be to your left and the stairs down to the apartment will be directly in front of you. Doors to the rest of the upper level will be locked so you don't have to worry about going somewhere you shouldn't. Please be aware that the host lives in the upstairs floor of the home. They are quiet and honor guests' desire for privacy at all times.

Other things to note:
1) The large back yard was recently fully fenced in for pet security. It's a perfect spot for you to walk your four-legged friend. I only ask that you pick up after them.
2) Although the kitchen does not include a built-in range or oven, there is a microwave with a convection oven feature and two induction hot plates that can be used on the countertops for cooking. Otherwise, the kitchen has all of the usual features: refrigerator, sink with disposal, dishwasher, utensils, cookware, etc.

Super Everything

Everything was great! The large fenced yard was like a private dog park for our two pups. They chased squirrels all day and were worn out by nightfall. It’s close to Red Rocks which is why we were there. Super clean, super efficiently organized with everything we needed- dog bowls too! Would stay again and again.

Well maintained house located in a great spot close to many large areas and local attractions. Owner of the property was communicative and was thoughtful in providing great local activities and restaurants that we very much enjoyed. The property has all amenities necessary for a living space, although, would have been nice to have a small vacuum or mop. Overall, fantastic experience and would absolutely stay here again!

Comfortable, Stylish

Fantastic location with great amenities. This rental offers details we want to see in our personal homes; a well functioning kitchen, comfortable couch with large TV, office space with large screens for 2 people, two rain shower heads in shower, plus many more extras. Host made sure our experience was top notch. I'd stay here again and again.

Great location in Arvada, easy access to Red Rocks, Denver proper & the airport. Owner was super responsive. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Great week stay

Perfect location for our softball tournament week. Really appreciated the laundry access as well as the garage parking. Was so nice to have much more space for the three of us than we would at a hotel. We will absolutely try to reserve this again next year!

Incredible host, perfect location

Jason is an amazing host. He was very quick to respond to messages and is very knowledgeable about the area/provided great recommendations for dinners and activities. The basement apartment was clean, comfortable, and in great condition. Having the option to park in the garage was much appreciated! The back yard/deck area is huge and very well-kept. Only potential downside is that the bathroom is in the bedroom - we managed just fine but could be a (very) minor inconvenience for a larger group. Old Town Arvada is less than 5 minutes from the house, and the proximity to downtown Denver was perfect. Can’t recommend this stay and host enough!

Just as advertised

I booked kind of last minute, within a week of my visit to Arvada. The property turned out to be exactly as advertised, and felt even more “homey” then the pictures lead me to believe. Jason was extremely easy to communicate with, and gave very clear and easy instructions for check in and check out. Already looking at booking the property for my next trip to the area this summer!

Peaceful weekend

I had a nice weekend. I had some work to do and having the office space with available monitors was perfect. Location was great, close to stores and restaurants and it was easy to get around. I sat outside and was visited by a little bunny, definite bonus.

Great Stay!

Perfect place to stay

From the minute we arrived at this property we were pleasantly surprised. The pictures and descriptions were accurate, but once inside you feel the coziness of this nicely furnished apartment. The queen bed was very comfortable, the shower with 2 shower heads was a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs. Plenty of room for our large dog. He loved the yard. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Clean and accommodating

A clean, nicely decorated, quiet, well furnished, comfortable space. The double head shower is a nice bonus. Jason was attentive and accommodating to all our needs. A short drive to Red Rocks and a nice walk to Olde Town Arvada. Highly recommend.

Quick Visit to Denver Area

I stayed at this property with my daughter for 2 nights to visit my son April 2023. Property was clean and updated. It had everything we needed for the short stay. Check in was seamless and Jason was very fast to respond to my questions. Highly recommend this basement apartment in Arvada.

Our stay was more than we could have expected! The space was beautiful and perfect for the two of us and our 70 pound dog. Our host was very responsive and provided everything we needed. The only issue we encountered was spiders since we were in the basement. However, when we asked raid it was provided.

Great host, good location, pros and cons

Jason was awesome, very accommodating and friendly...check in and check out was a breeze.Pros outweighed the cons, here was our experience:PROS: Spacious and comfortable seating, separate work area, nice and well stocked kitchen with full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and small toaster oven, very large fenced in backyard with nice seating areas, pet friendly (had 2 dogs that enjoyed the property...yet, ZERO pet smells or evidence that any other pets have been there...even the dogs didn't seem to "overly" sniff), dual head shower, full sized laundry, separate and secured private access, owner allowed us to park in the garage, safe and quite neighborhood.CONS (for us): Basement apartment that had about a dozen steep stairs that family was not able to accommodate (luckily the weather was great so we gathered in the backyard), the owner lives in the house and we could hear him (his bedroom was above our bedroom), it was NOT a 2 bedroom (second bed was a pull out couch...but teenager chose to sleep on comfy main couch), the ONLY bathroom was very small and in the main bedroom (so others had to enter the bedroom to use the bathroom), very little space in bathroom for getting ready, no hanging locations in the bedroom (there was one small closet at the other end of the unit), and finally, we found the bed to be rather uncomfortable, but we realize that mattresses are so subjective (not the owners fault).All in all, it was a nice, clean place, with an excellent host!

nice, clean unit, NOT a 2 BR

There are a lot of positives about this apartment, and a few things to be aware of : Positives: The apartment is VERY clean and the kitchen has plenty of cooking and eating items. Jason is communicative and flexible (he allowed me to check in early on arrival day). Jason is also very welcoming to dogs and provides the fenced in backyard, which is a plus. All check in and parking instructions are very clear. The apartment is in the basement of a home in a residential neighborhood. Feels very safe, and is convenient to downtown Arvada, which is lovely. Cons: This is NOT a 2 BR unit. The second bedroom has been converted to an office and the sofa bed that appears in that room in the photos is now in the living area So there is no privacy for the person using the sofa bed. The photos and description should be UPDATED to reflect this. I was planning on staying there with my adult son and his dogs, with them using the 2nd bedroom. But with the sofa bed in the living room this not the set-up we had in mind, so my son and his dogs went to stay with friends. Also be advised that the bathroom is en-suite to the bedroom, so anyone sleeping on the sofa bed will have to go through the bedroom to use the bath. Not a big deal for some but good to know ahead of time in case this is an issue for you.

Jellison Basement is roomy AND dual shower heads!

I thought it was great. The only thing that would give it the extra star was the garden light switch didn't work at all, the lack of working outlets in the kitchen, and the bed was incredibly springy. It felt pretty small for a queen but the real kicker was how hard it was to sleep on and we didn't feel rested for those 4 mornings. The outside garden and backyard was very large and well furnished. I loved the various textures and our dog was in squirrel heaven. We enjoyed coffee outside in the great weather. The kitchen was fully appointed and other than the outlet problem was awesome. I really dug the microwave/convection oven combo. I really liked having access to the household trash and recycling (both of which had receptacles in the kitchen). I recycle everything I can, so I appreciate when hosts also participate in doing what we can for our environment. The staircase was carpeted which is good because our dog was crazy about them once she figured out how to go down, she wouldn't stop going up so the included gate was VERY helpful! The area was very quiet and a nice neighborhood as well as being close to our vacation spots. I definitely recommend overall and the bed is for skinnier people without any physical issues. The host was on property at some times, which is reassuring. He always responded to my messages and gave thorough directions as well as entry instructions.

Great spot near CO attractions

We were visiting Denver with our two pups and found this great listing. This property is close to major attractions - we spent time in Denver, Golden, and saw a show at Red Rocks and this apartment was close to all. The space is clean and comfortable with some great touches like a smart TV, kitchen utensils and hot plates, easy entrance and exit through the garage and backyard space. The space is as listed, a downstairs, basement apartment with its own (dual shower head!) bathroom attached to the master bedroom. There is a roomy living room and dining area and another den. The sofa in the living room is huge and comfy. The kitchen has a full fridge and freezer and while it doesn’t have a stove/oven, it does have easy-to-use hot plates that we used to boil water in the kettle. All other utensils, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, etc. are available. Jason was extremely responsive when we had some small requests and questions. We would definitely book again!

I am a dog lover and I enjoy hosting families who have their pets with them. My back yard is great for a safe place to walk them or let them run. I do not charge a pet fee so I ask that you treat my space as your own and clean up after your pets if you choose to bring them with you. I provide carpet stain remover and trust that responsible pet owners will try to clean the areas if their pet makes a mistake.
