We have all new linens and bedding, and our top-notch cleaning staff assure you of a well cleaned and sanitized home to walk into. Indian lake is a large, beautiful lake (six miles in length) and provides a breathtaking view right from the living room. Whether you spend your days touring the beautiful Upper Michigan, paddling around on the lake (2 kayaks for rent), enjoying a bonfire under the stars, lakeside- or snowmobiling/ATVing the beautiful trails right around the corner, you are surely going to enjoy this retreat for your northern vacation any time of year.
For you anglers out there, you can expect to catch the following varieties of fish: walleye, bream/bluegill, smallmouth bass, perch, rock bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, northern pike, largemouth bass and brown trout. If you enjoy hitting the trails, either on a snowmobile or ATV, we are only a short ride to trail 7 that will take you all the way north to Lake Superior, and the Munising area. As mentioned above, we are located minutes from the amazing Kitch-iti-kipi (Big Spring). It’s a 40-foot-deep all-natural fresh water spring that is 200 feet across. Ride on the self-operated observation raft across the spring and look into the crystal clear waters below… Also don't forget to visit Manistique and walk the boardwalk along Lake Michigan, or head a bit west and travel back in time to Fayette state park, a restored smelting village.

Enjoyed our third stay at this property. Clean' comfortable, lots of extras and a great sunrise and lake view. Love the Manistique area. Camped on that lake for years.
This lakeside cottage was a great home base for our UP stay. It was centrally located for the attractions we had planned to visit in a very quiet location (at least when we visited). Cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is right on the water and we enjoyed an evening sitting outside watching the cormorants. It was very conveniently located, near enough to town and very close to Kitch-iti-kippi. I definitely recommend this cabin.
We came for a wedding for friends close by and didn’t get near as much time as we would have liked but we are planning our next get away to come back and just relax! Thank you for such an amazing beautiful place to stay.
The house was very clean and well stocked. Bedrooms are small, but worked for the few days we were there. It’s nice to have the fire pit near the lake. It was a great location for day trips to Munising and Mackinac Island.
Loved the location. Very private and quiet. The only thing wrong was we had to clean the grill before we could use it. It had to be taken apart and scraped out so much funk. Also the goose poop was bad the last night we stayed and couldnt sit outside which was a real bummer. I messaged multiple times and never heard back from owners
We had a lovely time at this cute little cabin right on the lake, it was very quiet and relaxing with beautiful scenery. The property was clean and we had everything we needed for a nice stay. I wish the kayaks had been included in the cost of the stay, I think that would have been a nice touch and really my only complaint.
The view out the picture window is beautiful with amazing sunrises. The sight & sound of the Loons made my trip! Loved the screened "Morning/coffee" room at the back. SO clean! Nicely appointed kitchen. Would rent again!
This cute cottage is perfectly located near all the activities we had on our list: the beach/boardwalk lighthouse, Kitch-iti-kipi natural spring, shopping at the Mustard Seed, the ghost town in fayette, and great places to grab a bite to eat. The cottage itself is comfortable and quaint. We really enjoyed taking the kayaks out and sitting by the fire enjoying the lake view. We would definitely come back.
Great location that’s out of the way, but close enough to everything. Coming from 90’s and humidity the weather was perfect for cooler break. No communication with the host was needed. No boat traffic to close which was nice.
This cottage was nicer than the photos. The new laminate wood floors & new bathroom were really nice. The enclosed sunroom overlooking the lake was a cozy spot to have coffee. The bed & couches were comfortable. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed. I was surprised how large Indian Lake is. We really enjoyed this cottage!
You never know if the furniture and beds will be comfortable. We were pleased that both were very comfortable, making our stay that much more enjoyable. Our joke during our stay though was that the floors made us feel like we were drunk walking in the middle of the night to use the restroom. They're not the most level, otherwise everything was very relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking the lake during out stay.
By far the best part about this place is the bonfire pit just 10ft from the lake. No mosquitoes in late September, wind died down around 7:00pm. Bring your own firewood, lighter fluid, and a hatchet or axe. We bought some wood locally that was cut rather odd so cutting some kindling was tough. House was small and clean. Good spot to sleep for the night. We ventured around all day everyday.
The property is located just 10 minutes from downtown Manistique off of a private road/quiet neighborhood right on the lake. The house was clean and everything we needed in terms of linens and housewares was as expected. The house was clean, ventilation was wonderful and the yard offered fantastic views of the sunrise and moon rise (we were there for the full moon). There was cable TV and the internet WIFI was great (once you find the right network to join - the instructions gave the wrong information). The house is old but has been remodeled with newer flooring and bathroom upgrades that made staying there very pleasant.

The property was relatively clean, stocked with kitchen utensils and TP. A pull-out couch was listed as a 3rd bed, but there were no sheets or bedding for it. A gas grill was listed, but there wasn't one. The listing showed outdoor chairs at the firepit, but there were none. The lawn was not mowed and was quite long, and was so full of goose poop that we didnt want to walk in the yard. Disappointing.
6 of us (3 adults, 3 small children) stayed at the cottage for a weekend away and it was perfect- I was concerned it would be a little small but the living and kitchen area felt very spacious and the picnic table/porch area made for comfortable and convenient dining. The first bedroom is large enough to fit a pack-n-play in which was super nice for keeping the baby close at night. The shallow beach was great swimming for small kids, and we were able to fish by walking out a ways. We had a small issue with the Wi-Fi but the owner replied to my text with a solution within minutes, despite it being almost 11PM. Everything was immaculately clean. We had a great experience, and would absolutely do it again! Thanks so much!
