About this property

Memory Maker Cabin | Military Discount | Hot Tub

Memory Maker cabin is one of two cabins that I own in the area. They are both a part of Freedom Finder Vacation Rentals. Freedom Finder is just five miles away, so if you a larger group, it's convenient to rent both cabins.

The inside and outside of Memory Maker cabin have been thoughtfully planned for your enjoyment. The fire pit was custom built for you to enjoy roasting marshmallows, making s'mores, or just sitting around the fire and making memories.

Memory Maker cabin is dog-friendly (with a maximum of 2 dogs-$125 pet fee per dog).

From the firepit area, there are steppingstones leading to the "secret garden". Walk through the arbor to a different world. It's surrounded by mountain laurel, and you'll immediately be transported to a serene setting like no other.

There are 2 sofas in the den, along with a smart TV. The coffee table has storage where you'll find cozy throws and lots of games. There is also a selection of books if you want to find a quiet corner and spend a lazy afternoon reading.

There's a loft bedroom with some really cool "wall" games, Connect 4, Scrabble, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Checkers. Both kids and adults will enjoy playing. Check out the custom light fixture hanging above the dresser in the loft. It was made from a mountain laurel branch found on the property.

Wonderful cabin for your Perfect getaway ❤️
Staying at this mountain cabin was an absolute delight! The cabin is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets. There's never a dull moment with plenty of games to enjoy. The WiFi is excellent, which is great for staying connected. The highlight was the hot tub and fireplace, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The host is incredibly friendly and responsive, making the stay even more enjoyable, thank you Lynette. 100% recommend this cabin

Getaway
Would definitely recommend and stay here again. The cabin was great and just as described. We cold tell that the host cared about our stay. They messaged us before we got there and during our stay to see if we needed anything and how things were going. We could tell that they wanted us to have an enjoyable stay. Awesome cabin and host.

Christmas Family-Time
The Memory Maker was the absolute best cabin we have ever stayed in. Our host, Lynette, literally had everything we could think of from personal needs amongst other things. This was our family’s first Christmas in the cabins and it was decorated sooo beautifully! Recommend to any and everyone ! You will NOT be disappointed! Thanks to Lynette and her team! 😊

Great getaway!
We stayed at Memory Maker for Thanksgiving break and it was a great getaway! The cabin was tucked away in the mountain side, which offered the seclusion we wanted, but only a short drive took us to the great town of Helen. The cabin was cozy and included everything you can think of, for an amazing experience…firewood, towels/linens, games, spices, spa, flashlights, marshmallow sticks, etc. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Best place to stay in the area!
I can't begin to say how fabulous this experience was. Lynette, the owner, was very helpful and communicative. She has an eye for the finer things and a sincere care for making the guests feel welcome and special. There was a blackboard with a welcome message and my name and while this doesn't sound like a big deal, it is one example of the many small things that made this one big and special vacation. The cabin itself looks brand new, the wood interior is shiny and something super important to me is how CLEAN it is. Lynette makes it easy to keep it clean if you read her thorough and well-thought-out guide. She offers you to print it out beforehand and also has it in tablet right on the wall. In the guide, you'll find everything from what to do before the vacation, to during it and afterwards. Back to the clean atmosphere...she leaves a towel at the front door if you have a dog so you can clean their perhaps muddy paws from all that hiking. She has extra sheets available and easy to find to put over the beds if you let your furry baby sleep with you, she has blankets for the couch if you let them on the couch. So BIG PLUS was this was a luxury home that allows dogs. I realize not all dog parents are super responsible and spoil it for the rest of us and I hope that doesn't happen with this cabin because there are so few cabins that are beautiful PLUS allow dogs. I'm out of room here and I wanted to go on about the details of the cabin and perfect area it's in so I can't! :D

After going through a job reassignment that I wasn't thrilled about, I purchased my first cabin located just 5 miles down the road. I quickly fell in love with hosting and purchased this cabin a few years later and subsequently quit my job to focus all my efforts on hosting. I love the Georgia mountains, hiking, and waterfalls.

Why they chose this property

I knew after seeing only one picture on the listing site that this would be the perfect cabin to add to my first one. I made a lot of changes and started with a blank slate. It was a lot of fun to create exactly what I wanted for my guests.

What makes this property unique

There are several unique décor items that were fashioned from mountain laurel or other trees on the property.
• The birdhouses on the side of the cabin are perched on branches of mountain laurel found around the cabin.
• The light fixture hanging in the loft is made from mountain laurel found on the property.
• The lighted tree on the front porch is a branch from a tree out back.

The "secret garden" is truly a unique feature. Walk down the Tennessee stepping stones to another world. It's an outdoor "room" will walls made of mountain laurel. As you walk down the steps, you're going to see a surprise (I don't want to ruin it for you). At the far end of the garden, there's a bench fashioned from an old bed frame. Have a seat and enjoy the splendor. On a sunny day, you'll experience rays of sunlight peeking through the laurel and casting a sparkle to the hanging orbs. It is a one-of-a-kind feature!

These are a few "things" that are unique to the cabin, but you'll find many unique benefits here versus other cabins. Many of my guests have mentioned that I thought of everything. I have tried to provide everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy your stay, including a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal or to just store your leftovers.

I provide a digital guidebook that has details for anything you want to know about the cabin as well as recommendations for things to do in the area and where they are located. I'm also just a phone call, text, or message anytime you need anything!
