We so enjoyed our stay. While we were gone a lot of the time, the house was very comfortable. Beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was fully supplied.Bathrooms were updated and nice.We loved being across the street to Wash Park.
Nice place, would have been nicer if the backyard had been cleaned up before we got there instead of after, or if there had been propane for the grill, or a few more paper towels, or a little more coffee; but those were minor annoyances, otherwise it was great.
We thoroughly enjoyed this charming home in Washington Park. There are so many great restaurants within walking distance, that we barely used the well stocked kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the washer and dryer were much appreciated. Parking is on the street but was never a problem.
The house is beautiful, and had all the “necessities” we needed! The park is huge and beautiful! Locations was great, parking is sometimes an issue, though. Management company was quick to respond.
This home is in a spectacular location right across from a beautiful park, and close to downtown Denver. Updated kitchen/baths are beautiful. Large kitchen/dining space is great for family meals. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY! Street parking was plentiful. The only "issue" were dust bunnies underneath furniture.

Hi Kathy,
Thank you so much for the review. We have spoken with our cleaners to make sure they inspect under the furniture.
Come back anytime!
The view was beautiful, and this was our 1st time in Denver. I love how old the house was, the only down side was the floors were squeaky and I felt bad if the downstairs neighbors may have heard us walking around, but overall our experience was awesome, comfy beds and a clean house.
We had a wonderful time and the location was great. My only suggestion is to get a MUCH firmer mattress in the second bedroom. Trying to turn over was like rolling uphill. Otherwise we were very happy with the accommodations.

Hi Sharon, thanks so much for the feedback. We actually just purchased new mattresses that sadly didn't arrive before your stay, but they are much better now for your next stay!
We had a couple problems with doorknobs coming off and slats of the bed sliding in the night. We also wish we would’ve known that there were tenants in the basement apartment (although lovely people).
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!! Leading up to the stay, the owners were in communication and answered all questions. The location is amazing, and the house was kid-friendly.

Hi Becca, Thank you for your feedback. I am sending my handyman over tomorrow to replace the knobs and make sure the bed frame is secure.
We try to clearly state that this is a historic home that has been converted into a duplex with the laundry room as the only shared space of the building. I'm sorry that was a surprise to you.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The home was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was beautiful and the park across the street was amazing! My husband had just been released from the hospital after a double lung transplant. His brother and sister came to see us. We were all very grateful for the space to spend time together in while allowing my husband to rest and begin healing from major surgery.
One would think you would fix stuff after it has been brought to your attention before, so I’ll say it again. Your front door knob practically hangs there, no hooks in master bath for towels, no hand towels for both bathrooms, toilet paper holder in main bathroom is broken. Smaller bedroom door doesn’t close. All this stuff could easily be fixed
This charming little bungalow is perfectly located right on Washington Park. A perfect mix of city and green space. If you are a cook, the kitchen is wonderful. The rest of the house got a little bit chilly but there was a space heater to help with that. Just be aware that there are tenants living downstairs IN the house separate unit, and there are quiet hours that need to be respected. I did not give five stars because of that, which was not clear in the original online listing.

Hi Andrea, thank you for your feedback. I have clarified our property description to avoid any confusion regarding the separate unit. The HVAC system was recently serviced and there is a thermostat available to adjust as needed.
It was a great location and it was nice to be able to walk from the house right to Wash Park. This is an older house that could use some extra cleaning and maintenance. There are other people that live below you so the quiet hours they have in place were nice. The beds were amazing and the master shower felt great. Having access to a washer and dryer was very convenient for our family. There is no driveway for parking so pay attention to street parking rules. My wife really appreciated all of the amazing coffee options supplied. We also enjoyed hanging out on the front porch watching people enjoy Wash Park.
The house served our family’s needs well. We stayed for 3 nights and appreciated having a newly redone kitchen & 2 bathrooms, plus (shared with lower unit tenant) washer and dryer. We also appreciated the super comfy (new?) mattresses; the Nest thermostat and efficient heating (it was cold while we were here); the gas range and the quick-to-respond hot water.
The “meh” features of the house include: most of the furniture (think newly-graduated college student goes to Salvation Army on a sale day); the art work purchased at SA as well; and as a safety concern, the low voltage orange front porch lights (tip: have your cell phone flashlight handy if arriving at night to see the steps & entry code lock).
This is a lovely bungalow right across the street from Washington Park. It was spring, so there was lots of activity in the park. Finding on street parking was never a problem. There were always plenty of spaces. We had to adjust the bed slates in the main bedroom because the mattress fell through. That made us nervous but it never happened again. The hallway smoke detector batteries were low but new batteries were available and it was simple to do this quick fix. It was good to know the smoke detector was present and working. Overall a very pleasant stay in the heart of Denver.

Wonderful location across Downing from the lovely Washington Park. The spacious bungalow has great bones. Solid fridge with working icemaker; Viking dishwasher; top notch, easily accessed washer & dryer. Beds and linens were fine. Plenty of heat.
It needs some TLC:
• Front doorknob ready to fall off
• Kitchen faucet missing a piece of trim. Inexpensive to replace just the head.
• Neither bathroom has a toilet paper holder
• Living room coffee table and dining room chairs need tightening. The upholstery on the dining chairs needs cleaning or replacement.
Like many short-term rentals, pots, pans and cutlery could use an upgrade. One of our first stops was at a Target for hand towels, wash cloths, dish cloths and a pair of kitchen shears. We left ‘em behind.
The cottage is dog-friendly and while we didn’t mind the occasional hair, the poop bags outside the front and rear of the house belong in the garbage.

Great comfort and location for DU Visit!
Why stay in a sterile hotel when you can stay in charming and active Washington Park? The upper-unit in this small house is a perfect location for a small family to stay. Comfortable beds and furniture, enough space for all to spread out and a well-appointed kitchen. My husband appreciated the desk in the front room where he could work remotely and being directly across from the park kept our small dog happy. I even decorated for graduation using the picture rail -- no tape or tacks to ruin the walls (which I wouldn't have done, anyway)!
When we arrived there was a problem with the air conditioning, but the management stayed in contact with us and it was fixed the next afternoon by a very competent technician.
It is an old home, so the floors creak and are uneven, most of the windows don't open (painted shut, perhaps?) , but it has all the charm of a turn of the century craftsman.
Never a problem parking directly out front, even though there's no driveway.
Didn't hear the downstairs neighbors at all.
Could use an upgrade on the towels and a few more hotel-like toiletries (conditioner, soap and lotion).
