Washington Park, Close to Downtown, Cherry Creek and 7 blocks from Wash Park

Welcome to Washington Park, one of Denver's most charming, oldest and most historic neighborhoods. You will be staying 7 blocks west of the park where you can enjoy many outdoor activities like jogging, walking, volleyball and biking. There are tennis courts, large flower gardens and a recreation center with an indoor pool. The park also has two lakes where you can rent paddle boats.

You are also located two miles from Denver's best shopping, Cherry Creek Mall, and high end stores. Downtown is only 3.5 miles away and the University of Denver is only 3 miles away from this neighborhood home. If you want to enjoy the neighborhood there are several great restaurants, bars and coffee shops that you can easily walk to.

Our home was built in 1893 and the apartment upstairs is newly furnished and is completely private. It has one bedroom with a queen and one with a full size mattress, a queen size pull out sofa and a full size pull out day bed in the living room. The kitchen has a mid-size refrigerator/freezer and is fully equipped with all of your kitchen needs. There is NO OVEN/STOVE; however there is a portable induction range that can be used for anything that would otherwise be cooked on a stove top. The proper pots and pans are provided. There is also a microwave, toaster oven and toaster available.

THERE IS NO STOVE (We do have an induction unit and plenty of pots, pans & skillets)

You will also be able to enjoy free cable and internet, 2 TV’s, 3 Roku Stick's, air conditioning and 2 alarm clocks. If you are not renting a car for your visit the Lightrail station is only 8 blocks away. Denver also has Uber and Lyft for easy transportation.

The house if over 120 years old and yes the hardwood floors make some noise but that does not affect the downstairs whatsoever. There is one thermostat that we control downstairs that we have to control but since we have started using our upstairs as a vacation rental we have gotten really good at controlling the temperature to make it comfortable for 99% of our guests. There is also a portable AC unit in the back bedroom (the one that tends to get a little warmer in the summertime) for guests to use in addition to our central air conditioning.

Great location for a working vacation

My two friends and I enjoyed our stay at this comfortable home for an enjoyable working vacation in Denver. The space was very clean and we each had our own room so we could all work and have our own space. The deck was our favorite spot. Location was convenient to many downtown areas.

Perfect location in quiet location surrounded by everything!

Very cute and clean place on a quaint block in a quiet neighborhood and yet surprisingly close to so many dining options (by foot). Walking distance to the metro. Low cost Uber distance to much more! Easy street parking. We already plan to return!

Great little place located in a fantastic neighborhood! It was fun to walk around and see all the old restored properties. The back deck was perfect for our family of 4 to eat and play games. We wished it had a grill but instead we enjoyed the property managers recommended restaurant's. I would definitely stay here again!

This Wash Park stay was five stars! We came to Denver for three nights to enjoy a show at Red Rocks. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get to the house until midnight. We parked on the street right out front and with the easy instructions we got in with no problem. The property is very well appointed. Living room and both bedrooms had tv and Alexa. They had chargers, the refrigerator even had filtered water and ice cubes ready to go. The neighborhood is darling. We walked to a local coffee shop (Wash Perk) and had fun looking at all the houses. We never had trouble with the on street parking. The whole stay was easy peasy and I would totally book again. Oh! And I forgot my headphones and Jason is mailing them to me this week. SO NICE!!! Don’t hesitate to book this place. Great experience!

Cozy home

Neighborhood was so cool, quiet street for good night sleep. This upstairs VRBO was so warm and clean and relaxing. We had lots of linens and extra blankets, ample closet space dressers for storage. We really enjoyed this VRBO stay, we could walk to so many business's and take in the view. I want to come back again with my three daughter-in-loves. Take in 5 days vaca at this VRBO. Perfect spot for a long weekend in Denver

This little apartment far exceeded our expectations. The furnishings were comfortable and modern. TV's in every room and the fully stocked kitchen were bonuses. The linens were comfy and the hosts supplied ample extras for the quickly changing Denver temperatures. The balcony was the BEST part though! Being outside in beautiful Denver to work, socialize and relax in the evenings was amazing. The walkability to Broadway and Wash Park were undersold in the description. We only used our rental for our "out of town" adventures. This is a gem in the funky and frolicking heart of Denver!

Absolutely everything we could have needed plus more was in this well-furnished place. It is clean, organized and thoughtfully decorated. The beds are comfy and the neighborhood is quiet and safe, with easy on-street parking. The location is great as we walked to several restaurants and accessed the highway quickly to go north to Boulder and south to Colorado Springs. The host is attentive and quick to reply. I would stay here again.

Overall had a great experience. I did not notice that the rental was on the second floor when booking. That along with street parking may make it difficult for some who stay. Also the rental is the upstairs of an old bungalow so there were quite a few sloped ceilings and furniture size had to accommodate. The location was amazing. Tons of food/coffee/bar choices. Close to a grocery store and super close to I-25 which you need to get anywhere in the city. The place was SUPER clean and updated. Excellent communication w owners.

Great place, cute spot.

This was a charming little spot! The house has a lot of character—an older 1800s home with some unique quirks. It was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with plenty of amenities. The location was convenient to get around but still quiet enough to relax. Great for our long weekend get away!

I (Jason) am a Colorado Native from Sedalia and have enjoyed living in Wash Park for 19 years. I own a bar about a mile away, Dive Inn. I absolutely love this neighborhood and all of the charm that it brings. I stay pretty busy with the businesses but love traveling when I am able and I enjoy spending time in the park playing a good game of volleyball with friends.

Why they chose this property

Wash Park is my absolute favorite neighborhood in Denver. Minutes from Downtown, minutes from shopping and restaurants in Cherry Creek, the vacation rental is located less than a mile from the interstate. It is great having all of those amenities so close, but even better is having such a beautiful park close by. This area feels like a small neighborhood town with all of the perks of a big city. There are also great coffee shops, restaurants and bars located within walking distance.
