About this property
Bright family cottage on Round Lake with beautiful views!
Please Note: Minimum weekly (FRIDAY to FRIDAY) rentals only in July and August.
Pine Haven cottage sits perched above Round Lake under the pine trees, with south west exposure, a stunning lake view, shallow water entry and crystal clear water. Water visibility is high and there are no weeds, as the lake is fed from adjacent Algonquin Park.
Pine Haven is perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The main cottage is one level. It has three bedrooms; two bedrooms each with queen beds, and a third bedroom with a queen and a twin bed. There is also a twin size folding cot with mattress. The cottage has an open concept kitchen, dining and living area, with huge windows on all sides. The kitchen is stocked with essentials. The bright and airy living room includes a huge sectional sofa, and a smart TV with Roku for Netflix. There is good Wi-Fi.
Outdoors, a fire pit overlooks the lake, with beautiful views across the water. A large patio includes a propane BBQ (propane provided), picnic table and more chairs overlooking the water.
A few steps down from the main house, sits the 3-season boathouse, an open space for adults and/or the kids/teens to hangout. The boathouse includes a bar, dartboard and is well stocked with games for all ages. A deck overlooks the water with another incredible view to take in while enjoying your coffee or an evening drink while listening to the loons.
Walk a few more steps down to the water, and you’ll find a natural, rocky shoreline. Visibility is very high and there are no weeds. In the boathouse, we have a huge water mat, a canoe with paddles, 2 kayaks, and 2 inflatable SUPs for your enjoyment. We have various sizes of life jackets (adults, youth) but we recommend bringing your own to ensure the best fit for safety.
Spend your sunny days on the water, and your rainy days in the main cottage or the boat house watching movies or playing games. The list of things to do in the surrounding area is amazing. You are about a 5 minute drive from Foy Provincial Park, which has a beautiful sand beach. Bonnechere Provincial Park is just a 12 minute drive around the lake.
Amenities included: - Weber BBQ - canoe, kayaks, SUPs and water mat - Fire pit - Games - Smart TV - WiFi - multiple seating areas to enjoy the views
Notes: - Minimum weekly (FRIDAY to FRIDAY) rentals only in July and August. - Fire pit outside can be enjoyed following local rules and regulations. We had a great stay! We went with our two young kids and everyone had a wonderful time. The place is very clean and well stocked. There’s so much to do, whether it’s on the property (water sports, games, or multiple areas to sit and relax) or in the surrounding area (stunning beaches or great towns to explore). The lake is the clearest I’ve ever seen. We loved it here and will absolutely be back.
We had an excellent stay! Communication with the host was outstanding from start to finish—they were friendly, responsive, and made everything easy. The cottage was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a wonderful place to relax. There were just a few minor things that could be improved: cushions for the outdoor couch would have made the outdoor space more enjoyable, the stairs to the water were a bit difficult to navigate and could be challenging for some guests, and the bathroom was on the small side.Overall, these were only minor issues and did not take away from our experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others.
We had a wonderful stay here. We loved how well equipped the kitchen was and how idyllic the property was. Our tween and teen loved being able to have the space above the boathouse to themselves and we helped ourselves to many of the games provided. Thank you for a great stay
We had a very nice stay at the cottage. Well stocked kitchen.Lots of water toys and land toys to use and the lake is great for swimming.Karen is a great host, we will be back!
This property is the perfect place to relax, enjoy great sunsets, crystal clear water and a few games of darts! We can’t wait to come back every year going forward!!

Thank you so much for the kind review. We’d love to have you back!
We had a peaceful stay at this gorgeous property. Karen was a welcoming and thoughtful host, the cottage itself was unique, comfortable, and filled with light. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The fall colours and silence were everything. We would love to come back next fall!
We had a very relaxing few days on round lake. This cottage is beautiful, well maintained and in a lovely setting with wonderful views. It was perfect for our needs!
Had a great week with my family. Check in process was easy and any questions we had were answered immediately. The boathouse was a perfect hangout for my adult/teenage children and the water was great for swimming, paddling etc. Lots of things to do in the area for families and a few great places to go out for dinner that were close. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much! We appreciate your kind words and would love to have you back anytime :)
This is a beautiful, clean and quiet lake. The pebbly shoreline is perfect for children and exploring. That boat house, with the games, made a huge difference on the overcast rainy days for the kids. The cottage was clean, open layout and the beds were comfortable. The fridge and freezer were clean and large. The drive to Boncherre or Foy Parks was close (15min) and a great family activity for beaches, biking or hiking. Everything was well organized and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this property.

Thank you so much! So glad you had a great week and we’d love to have you back.
We had a fantastic time at Karen & Cam’s cottage. The property was gorgeous, overlooking Round Lake. We were able to see a sunset every night. The cottage was stocked with everything you could think of, and the boathouse had many water toys for the children, as well as kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe for the older ones. We played many games provided on the upper level of the boathouse and enjoyed fires overlooking the water. There were many hiking trails nearby. We went to Foy Provincial Park and hiked the Tramore Cliffs, both of which were only a short drive down the road. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful, and the lake was very serene.

Thank you so much, Leah. Glad you had a great week!
After several years using the other major competitor's app, we used Vrbo for the first time and were not disappointed. Karen was a wonderful host, and the cottage was perfect for a family of five with three young kids and a small doggo.
This has to be the best-equipped cottage we've ever stayed in, and it had all the amenities. Fire pit, BBQ, lots of chairs, canoe, kayaks (yay!), stand-up paddleboards, lily pad, life jackets, water shoes, floaties, pool noodles, and a great dock.
Round Lake is an absolute gem of a location, so quiet and peaceful. There are a few speedboats, but honestly there weren't many and they never bothered us. There are two provincial parks abutting the lake, and there are caves and rapids for rafting nearby.
We all enjoyed our time away, and wouldn't hesitate to enjoy Karen's hospitality again in the future.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The property is beautiful and well-maintained - absolutely no weeds in the lake, but water shoes are great if you don’t like rocks. They provide everything you could possibly need - tons of water toys, a well-stocked kitchen, and even little treats for us and our pup upon arrival!
The living area is spacious (plus we LOVED the boathouse and all its games), but the bedrooms are fairly small. We didn’t mind as we only slept there, and there were so many other places to chill inside and outdoors. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan which is a lifesaver in the heat.
The bathroom has a very small shower - this was not a problem for our group, but may not work for those who are larger in size.
The host is lovely and very communicative if you have any questions. I have nothing but great things to say about this cottage.
THANK YOU for a spectacular stay! We hope to be back in the future :)

Cara, thank you so much for the kind review :) We would love to have you back!
Everything about our stay was fantastic - we didn't want to leave!
Round Lake is a beautiful, clean lake. The cottage was beautiful - exactly as described and super clean with a gorgeous view of the lake. Kitchen was very well appointed with everything you need. Karen has thought of everything! Quality linens on the beds (we even ordered the beautiful blankets online!) So many games and water toys there was always something to do. We didn't even use the beautiful boathouse room but this would be fantastic if you had kids/teenagers in your group.
And the neighbours!!! So lovely and helpful - a highlight of our stay!
Our dog (6 month Golden Retriever) LOVED the lake and was exhausted every night.
The cottage is just an hour from Algonquin and we took a couple of trips there to do some hiking and wildlife viewing. Eva's Cafe in Round Lake Centre for donuts and cookies!
12/10 cottage stay! Thank you so much for sharing your paradise. We would love to come back!
First off I must say the hosts are just super awesome and really really really easy to deal with! The neighbours are extremely pleasant and very helpful with tips for the area as are the hosts! The cottage is in a beautiful location. The cottage itself was fantastic, well stocked and just perfect. The boat house is just such an awesome place to relax and chat and play games. The cottage, boat house and many outdoor locations all have magnificent views of Round lake. I would definitely rent this location again. If you are looking for a nice spot to relax and unwind with the family or a spot to get together with friends this place is perfect for either.
Thanks Cam and Karen for letting us use your spot it’s perfect.
