Rebecca and Brian were excellent hosts! We loved the quiet atmosphere and the beautiful view. The bed was extremely comfortable and the cottage was very clean. We would stay here again!!
Brian and Rebecca have a wonderful space that is perfect for 2 people. Everything was clean and furnished with the usual amenities. Nice peaceful views from the windows and deck that invites sipping a glass of wine and watching horses graze. We had a great stay there for a month, while our new house is being built.
This place is absolutely adorable and setup very nicely! We loved our stay and we were a little sad to say goodbye. Property owners are generous, very kind and super easy to talk to…they almost feel like family!
Lovely property for a quiet getaway from the city. Comfortable and clean with excellent views of horses and hills. It is in a great location for exploring the area. The hosts are kind and accommodating, we thoroughly enjoyed our escape to the country!
Brian and Rebecca are amazing hosts! This is our second year in a row and we just love everything about this beautiful little cottage. Rolling hills and horse farms everywhere. Just past the famous Valhalla Golf Club. If your plans are on the east side of Louisville, it's extremely convenient, only 10 minutes or so from both 64 and 264.
This was our second stay at the carriage house, and it was wonderful again. Located between Louisville and Lexington, it is a great location for Bourbon tours or days at the race tracks. It is very peaceful, but only 5 minutes from I64. Stocked with everything we needed. Loved interacting with their 3 horses after returning from day trips. Hosts are very responsive. We will stay here again.
this place is fantastic ! quiet! perfectly laid out ! roomy with a nice back porch ! great location, close to everything but away from town, nothing like waking up with the horses in the morning! Rebecca and Brian our host's were the best! if your coning to louiville you have to stay here! we will be back here next year .
This place was magical, granted we were out on the Bourbon Trail most of the days we stayed. It was great while we were there, the views were fantastic and the stay was perfect. Would highly suggest this to anyone. We were very happy with our stay. I accidentally broke the toilet handle though.
Very happy with our stay. The house was exactly as pictured, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Waking up with a couple of horses outside the window was really nice too! The location is amazing as well, outside the City but less than 5 minutes to the highway so everything we needed to get to was very accessible. Highly recommended.
There’s no way to describe how perfect this location is. We ended up canceling two days of plan so we could just sit on the porch and watch the horses. Would recommend anyone looking to have a weekend getaway for a couple days to rent this property.
Rebecca and Brian worked to make our stay enjoyable and are very hospitable folks. we enjoyed their carriage house and dogs. The horses were beautiful to look at. Thank you.
If you love beautiful green pastures, the sound of an occasional horse neigh and spectacular views this is the place for you. The hosts were friendly and attentive. The property was clean and well appointed. And the setting…you can’t ask for a better Kentucky experience. Close to Louisville, local attractions and the bourbon trail. One of the most beautiful places we stayed.
Beautiful property nestled in the rolling hills of prime Kentucky horse country. Very close to all the venues Louisville has to offer yet tucked away in a peaceful pastoral setting. Host is very kind and accommodating. Property is very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Perfect spot to rest after a day on the Bourbon Trail or after enjoying some of Louisville’s fine offerings!
A clean, bright, well-appointed cottage in a lovely pastoral setting. Horses in the pasture a few yards beyond the back porch, and ducks swimming in the small pond that borders the pasture. Beautiful sunsets and friendly, attentive hosts. On the Bourbon Trail, and an easy drive to Louisville or Lexington. Recommended.
We enjoyed staying in this cozy cottage for the week. It had everything that we needed, and was very well supplied. We brought our two little dogs with us, and they even offered us an outdoor playpen for them to use. Every window you looked out of had a beautiful view of the property, including their horses and duck pond. The owners are very welcoming and make you feel like part of their family. We are already planning a return visit for next year.
We took my mom to the Kentucky Derby for her 70th birthday! Staying in this house was icing on the cake!! The scenery was stunning and the horses on the property fit the theme. We were greeted by the hosts and they were amazing!! Such sweet people and so accommodating. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place and I definitely would stay here again!
My wife and I stayed at the carriage house while in Kentucky for our fall vacation. It is very nice, and situated in a quiet rural setting but is close enough to major highways and Louisville to make it a great centrally located home base for our many planned activities. The hosts were great to work with and the property was exactly as advertised. We did Bourbon distillery tours, caught races at Keeneland, dinner in downtown Louisville, horseback riding at Red Fern, and the Ark Encounter. This rental is on a small horse farm and watching the horses each day in the pasture was fun. We would definitely stay here again.
Vistas from every window...quiet rolling hills and charming countryside cottage! Wonderful space, decor and fully stocked kitchen for cooking! Every evening we enjoyed visiting up close with five beautiful horses and our gracious host even supplied carrots so our grandchildren could hand feed them! To top it all off, the sunrise was spectacular! Don't miss this one !
We've hesitated to leave a review, because if we tell everyone how wonderful this place is, we'll never find an open date to return! Brian and Rebecca are the BEST hosts, the horses captured our hearts and the treed, green rolling hills refreshed our souls. Not exaggerations. Plus the history, culture and people here make us want to relocate. Our daughter calls Kentucky "a pretty girl" and she's not wrong. This carriage house and its owners are a prime example. Thanks Brian and Rebecca!
