Great hosts who were responsive to our questions or needs. House was very comfortable. The sun porch looks inviting but not a winter amenity! One suggestion, as mentioned by others, is the need for better lighting especially during winter stays when days are darkest and shorter. We would be happy to rent this place again.
We got married in the area and booked this house for some family members to stay at. They loved it! It's comfortable, clean, has everything you need. Beautiful views from the deck! The host was very helpful and communicative, readily available to answer any questions, and happy to share information about things to do in the area. I highly recommend this rental!
The house is fine, and the deck is amazing, This was a very pleasant and convenient place to stay, and the hosts were amazing. There was um a bit of rain and the power was out in the area for a while, and communication with the hosts about flashlights, updates, etc was incredible. Maybe some candles would have been nice, but the flashlight worked. It was also a fabulous place for my evil little dog. The hosts are perfectly laid back about the realities of dogs, which is weirdly lacking in other "dog friendly" listings.
Our only gripe was that the house was oddly poorly furnished, with minimal lighting, no bedside tables, etc. There's a 3-season enclosed area that was awesome and if the couch had not been so heavy we'd have moved it in - it would have been a great place to sit when for whatever reason one could not be outside, but it was devoid of seating.
Overall, a really great place (but bring a lamp).

About the host

We began coming to the area every summer when we lived in NYC and found the experience to be equal parts restful and energizing. We fell in love with all of the hikes and adventures, the starry sky, and the quaint and funky nearby towns. We are so excited to share with you.
Why they chose this property
We are in North Lexington, equidistant (almost) between Windham and Hunter Mountains and not far from Bellayre and Platteclove. This makes the area a ski/snowboarder dream. It's also brilliantly beautiful in all seasons and many many hikes, waterfalls, lakes, are all around. Additionally, Windham and Tannersville are always on lists of best Catskills towns to enjoy for food, music, arts, antiques and shopping, and more. We are happy to share recommendations!
What makes this property unique
Our property is close enough to conveniences but remote enough to really unwind and focus on the sky and the sound of crickets and birds (and sometimes the howl of a coyote).
