Our fully restored 1890's Victorian home offers 1,459 square-feet of space with all the modern amenities! The home is fully furnished with all utilities paid during your stay. We think it's the perfect retreat, and we're excited to welcome you!

Lawrence is home to the University of Kansas, and is a beautiful college town with a rich history, fun vibe, exciting nightlife scene with multiple theaters/music venues! You'll find countless unique bars, coffee shops, and food choices to satisfy all your tastes--and so many cute shops! In addition, enjoy all that Kansas City has to offer--just 30 minutes away!

Our names are Jennifer and Jason Merckling. We currently live in the Kansas City area (Lenexa, KS) and both grew up in Kansas. We met in college and have been married ever since. Our big family of 6 kids keep us busy with ages spanning from 22 down to our 7 year old twin daughters. We are so excited to share our property in Lawrence with visitors so they can enjoy the same town we have both grown up around!

Why they chose this property

We always spend time in Lawrence and live 30 minutes away. Now 2 of our daughters attend the University of Kansas and our connection to the area has only grown. We've always wanted a Victorian era but didn't want to do the work to restore the property. This little yellow cottage hit the mark! Tastefully restored with modern amenities that don't take away from the homes charm of the past.

What makes this property unique

Amazing location near everything Lawrence has to offer! We fell in love with this home from the moment we pulled up to the front. From the pink mailbox, the porch swing, and wood stove inside--everything about this house is charming. Whenever someone sees pictures of the home or they visit for the first time a common description is shared...this place feels like a dollhouse!
