The Meadow Inn - Secluded Central Black Hills Cabin! WiFi!

This secluded cabin sits on 2+ acres, including a meadow with a small creek running through it! Deer and other wildlife are seen almost daily in the meadow! The outdoor living spaces make this cabin truly special, including a massive deck with gas grill and outdoor dining area, a lovely view of the meadow, and a cement pad with a basketball hoop!

The main floor of the cabin features two bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen) and a full bathroom. The kitchen comes fully stocked with standard appliances and cooking utensils. The living room features beautiful views with floor to ceiling windows and includes a propane fireplace.

The lower level also features two bedrooms (both queen), a full bathroom, and a large family room.

The loft is the perfect setup for kids, including a queen bed and two twin beds, as well as a half bathroom.

The cabin is located 3 miles from Lake Pactola, 8 miles from Sheridan Lake, and 17 miles to Mount Rushmore. Reaching the cabin requires traveling on ~1 1/2 miles of well-maintained gravel roads. There is easy access to hiking and ATV/UTV trails close by.

WiFi is included and can be used to provide cell phone service via WiFi calling. The bandwidth is 60 Mbps unlimited, so you can also stream TV/movies for entertainment.

This cabin is privately owned and our family loves vacationing here - we are eager to share it with you!

Spacious Cabin

Very spacious cabin with plenty of room. The large wrap around deck is great for hanging out and grilling. We didn’t use the upstairs loft but having the extra space if needed is nice. There was also plenty of room for us to park trucks and trailer for ATV and side by side riding.

SxS Senior Trip

Our card-playing, side-by-side riding, over-50 group enjoyed staying at The Meadow Inn! The exterior deck was a big hit to enjoy before and after riding the trails in the Black Hills. We also loved the quiet, established neighborhood - great for taking a morning walk. Thank you for letting us stay at your property!

quiet central location

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was our base camp of 5 days of UTV riding in the hills. It was perfect location for that so quiet when we were ready to relax.

Great Stay in Black Hills

We had a wonderful stay at the Meadow Inn. The spacious home provided lots of space for our group of 10 adults and kids. The deck provided a great place to hang out and BBQ in the evenings. Very beautiful and peaceful. Wrap around porch with tables, chairs and outdoor couch. Spent most of our time on the porch. Lots of room for our family of 9! Loved it! Hope to come back.

Get away in the back country

We came out for we a week with family and friends to see the sites and ride the trails in the area. The house was a great place to stay and in the middle of the sites. Easy riding to the trails and getting to Sturgis or the monuments. Parking the trailers were possible and required some backing skills.

Almost perfect

My family and I stayed at the Meadowlark Inn in late June for an almost perfect visit. The house was clean with plenty of room for the six of us The setting was beautiful. Unfortunately a heat wave was underway and the air conditioner wasn’t working for a couple days. (It was fixed near the end of our stay.). I did ask the hostess if some compensation would be allowed for our discomfort. I didn’t expect much but still think her answer to my request “We do not make allowances for an A/C breakdown as we are going to have to pay for the unexpected repair” is not sound business practice. Aside from this, our hostess was helpful with good communications.

Good Place to stay when exploring the Black Hills with a large group

We got a message the day before we left that on the main door the door knob was not working. We understand that things happen and it is hard to get something repaired between renters. It didn't seem like a huge deal. However, the key in the key box was supposed to work on the other three doors and it did not. It worked only in the other main level door. It was not a deal breaker but it was inconvenient, especially since it rained most of the time we were there. The house was not cleaned well and I had to wipe out the fridge and freezer before putting food in. Overall cleanliness was not good. The home itself was great....lots of room for our family of eleven. The area was good, located near most all of the things we had planned to see or do. Unfortunately with the rain, we were unable to enjoy the deck and outdoor seating.

Not a good experience

When we arrived, the yard was unkempt and we were met with tall sticker plants in the parking area. Once into the home, we could see that it had not been cleaned for quite a bit of time. The bedding was pulled up in the beds but all beds except the master bed had hair and debris in the sheets. There were over 20 dead moths in the living room and dining room floors and when the living room curtains were moved, another 20 live moths came falling out. The kitchen was still dirty and we found an ibuprofen pill on a bedroom floor where we had planned to have our youngest family member stay. There was someone's fake fingernail on the floor in the basement living room area right in plain sight. We had to wash sheets for 2 of the beds just to be able to sleep for the night and 3 of the kids chose to sleep in the basement furniture as they were afraid of the bugs in the loft area. It was a horrible experience after an extremely long drive from Northern Minnesota. I would not recommend this stay unless they can get a reliable cleaning service and lawn care company in place.

Cute place

Place was nice to stay at. There was a bad fly problem, a ton of dead flies by the base boards and they kept dive bombing into our food - it was odd. We were also asked to do a ridiculous amount of cleaning even though we paid the cleaning fee. I understand picking up after yourself but we had to clean everything. Other than those couple of things, my family had a nice time here!

Sturgis Mortorcycle Rally

We had plenty of space and enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook all of our meals. The road to the cabin was well packed dirt (even for the motorcycles) and the directions were on point. A couple issues for us: 1. the AC unit did not cool the house in the August heat. Everyone was hot at night and the morning sun warmed the house through the windows. 2.The clothes dryer took longer than usual to dry even a small load. 3. We were unable to use the hot tub as it was cold and the display panel was illegible to turn up the heat. None of these were “deal breakers” and we enjoyed our vacation and would recommend this location for biker enthusiasts!!!!
