View was spectacular and the place was large enough for us to have plenty of space to enjoy our family. We could have spent the entire time on the deck!

Perfect location
The house was perfect for our Marine Corps reunion group of 10 people; 3 bedrooms have their own bathroom, nice and a lot of room, a big plus was a deck with chairs, tables, and a grill on the propane. The first morning we woke up, the coffee maker wasn’t working, I messaged propertg management they mqde sure to get us brand new coffee maker.Beds are very comfortable. As a group every year we meet in a different state but if we decide to go back to Lead, SD we will rent from Vacasa again.

Decent
Despite a couple things and areas that weren’t clean or working, it’s in a nice area and has ample room.

Only complaint would be lack of reliable internet. Loved the house. Was perfect for our group. Thank you so much.

Great place!!
Although we didn't spend much time at the house, mostly there to just sleep, it was perfect for our group. It's like being at home, everything needed was there and the bed/bath layout is ideal for 8 couples. We never saw another person during our whole trip and our bikes were secure and clean. We didn't get to use the hot tub or grill like we anticipated but loved the deck in the mornings. We'd do it again and maybe next year the Rochford road will be completely paved to Hill City! Would be fun to golf next time too.. so much to do and never enough time.
The deck is missing a portion of it as very dangerous for children. Dog hair on rug and dead bugs behind a bedroom door. Windows had lots of dead bugs in them. Dusty everywhere. Two pans we pulled out were dirty so looks like people put them away dirty. The house could be nice again but needs a very deep cleaning.

Plumbing/water pressure issues causing major inconveniences
The house itself was nice, but water pressure was extremely low & caused many issues. Toilets were overflowing & leaking into the kitchen. A maintenance worker came over just to tell us there is nothing he can do. Some of the recliner couches were broke, & there were dead flies around the kitchen.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
No internet service the whole time. There was a bra hanging in one of the rooms when we got there, soap bar left in a shower. Couldn't use the ceiling fan in one room as when you turned it on, it shock so much and made loud noise. The outside when we pulled up had weeds every where surrounding the cabin and hot tub. We were not notified that the railing had dry rot and do not enter tape around part of it, as the railing was missing. Thank god we didn't have littles with us. Tried to turn the hot tub on and kept blowing the breaker, so no hot tub. Even if it did work the weeds surrounding the hot tub where as tall as the sides of it. Defiantly needs a lot of TLC!

Overall nice place to stay
Overall, the location and house is nice. Very eclectic decorations. Had a few problems trying to get into the house. The code that was provided was not correct and cell service is spotty at best, so trying to get ahold of someone was a little difficult. No matter what they say, there is no check mark after the code. lol. Couldn’t figure out how to turn on the fireplace on the main floor, but not a big deal. Plenty of beds and room for everyone. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking.

Quiet
Loved the neighborhood that the house is in. It is extremely quiet. Love the views from the porch and surrounding area. Flat driveway which is perfect for Motorcycles. The hot tub was wonderful after riding all day. Water pressure in the showers was great. Washer and dryer were used and did a great job. Recommend you bring or buy toilet paper as they only have one ply in the house. lol!
I would reccommmend this house to others as long as the porch is fixed. It is a safety issue for anyone. Use of the garage was a god send for the motorcycles as the weather at night was a little iffy a couple days.
Overall not a bad house just needs some love!
We enjoyed our stay with 6 adults and 3 dogs. Finding a good pet friendly place in the area can sometimes be a challenge so we were happy to find this place. The beds were comfortable, the pillows seemed new, and there was lots of space for everyone.
A few downfalls included not very clean floors in the main living area/kitchen/dining room. There was dog food under some areas, as well as dead bugs and some clumps of mud. The windows could also use a good cleaning to get all of the dead flies/bugs off the windows and ledges. However, for being pet friendly we didn’t feel dog hair was an issue.
We enjoyed the good sized hot tub throughout the weekend. We cooked 4 meals at the cabin and found ample supply of pots, pans, and other dishes.
The choice of decor throughout was interesting for us. Everyone has their own unique style of decor but the theme just didn’t seem to match our stay / a cabin in the Black Hills of SD.
Overall we would return for the pet friendly aspect but a good deep clean and some changes in decor could help with the overall presentation.

Good house, needs cleaning
Good house in a great spot in Lead. The place needs a thorough cleaning. Lots of pet hair and dust. All the black moths in the house was probably the worst of it all. If this place got a deep cleaning I’d probably rent it again. Ashley from Vacasa was very helpful.

Wonderful cabin!
It was spacious inside and when you added in the deck space where we spent much time it was incredible. There were 6 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The foosball table and the chess table were much used. We also loved the books. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
