About the host
Hosted by Traci Markum
I’m a Kentucky Lake local and a lake-life realtor who has spent most of my life on this water. My family previously owned and operated this property when it was known as Paradise Resort, so welcoming guests and helping families create lake memories has been part of our story for many years.
Over time, the property has changed, and today the larger resort is no longer here. Only the small 5-plex condo building remains, which gives guests a quieter, more relaxed experience. It feels less like a busy resort and more like a true home away from home on the lake.
Lake life is what I know and love, and I enjoy sharing that with guests. Whether it’s local dining spots, boating tips, or hidden gems around Kentucky Lake, I’m always happy to point you in the right direction.
My goal is simple — for you to arrive, relax, enjoy the lake vibes, and leave with wonderful memories (and maybe plans to come back again!).

Why they chose this property
My family originally owned and operated this resort for many years when it was known as Paradise Resort. We welcomed guests from all over, and many of those families returned year after year — some even becoming lifelong friends. Being part of so many lake memories is something that has always meant a lot to us. Even after the resort changed hands, this place still feels like home because of the history and heart tied to it.
This area is peaceful, laid-back, and truly about enjoying the lake. It’s tucked into a calm, protected bay, so the water is usually gentle — perfect for swimming, floating, or tying up a boat. The sunsets bring beautiful color across the sky, and evenings are quiet and relaxing. What we love most is that it doesn’t feel crowded or commercial — it feels like a true Kentucky Lake escape where people come to slow down, spend time together, and make memories on the water.

What makes this property unique
What truly makes this property special is the combination of history, location, and the relaxed lake atmosphere. This was once part of a beloved family-run resort where generations of families came to enjoy Kentucky Lake, and that welcoming spirit still lives on here.
The condo sits in a calm, protected bay on Snipe Creek, which means gentler water for swimming, floating, and docking your boat. Guests love the colorful sunsets that settle into the bay and the peaceful setting that feels away from the crowds.
It’s also very boat-friendly with covered slips available (Seasonal), easy access to the main channel, and tritoon rentals available $350.00 daily. Being ground-level with no steps makes it simple for families and guests of all ages.
Most of all, it’s a place where you can slow down, enjoy the water, and make real lake memories — and that’s what keeps people coming back
