Set in the Pirates Beach neighborhood, this
beachfront 4 bedroom private retreat is just waiting
for you to come relax and unwind.
Play in the surf, then come back and relax on the expansive wraparound deck that offers plenty of outdoor seating to take in the gorgeous Gulf views. - Due to items outside of our control, our neighbor to the east is undergoing construction on their home. We apologize for this inconvenience to our guests and are trying to remediate the situation as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
Being a few steps from the water makes it
convenient to come back at your leisure! Large
outdoor covered entertainment space provides a
great opportunity for adorable photos. A private
outdoor shower and changing area on the ground
floor allows for easy cleanup before heading inside.
Once inside, make yourself right at home with cool
coastal tones and upgraded modern amenities
throughout. Deluxe gourmet kitchen, custom
cabinetry, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave,
Kurieg, & washer and dryer all available on the
property. Plenty of supplies and utensils to easily
whip up your favorite dishes. Meals can be enjoyed at
either the sunny, large dining table or on the
furnished deck for al fresco dining and water views.
Pirates beach offers many amenities with numerous
shops and restaurants while also being just a short 10
min drive to downtown Galveston. Enjoy the unique
waterfront at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure
Pier, take a three minute drive to the oldest country
club in Texas, Galveston Country Club. or take
advantage of some of the local amusement parks, all
conveniently located.

A dream house

We spent a few days with my kids and my parents, it was wonderful. The view is so beautiful…mesmerizing to look as the sea, listen to the waves. The house is very comfortable, big enough for a large family, everything was just perfect! My parents loved it, my husband loved it, my kids loved it…. Very grateful for the beautiful family time in this paradise.

Great house and location!

We had a great weekend at the Pelican's Nest!! The location is amazing, great view of the gulf and access to the beach. We had a large group and there was plenty of space to accommodate everyone. There was miscommunication from VRBO/property owner and we didn't get access instructions ahead of time which caused some anxiety for our group at check in. However, the VRBO people acted swiftly, and the property owner, once she was aware was apologetic and very helpful and responsive afterwards. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Overpriced

This may be the first negative review I’ve ever left on Vrbo. This unit was listed as one of the most expensive in pirates Beach on the weekend that we visited. I’m very familiar with the area and understand what to expect. This simply did not meet expectations. I tried contacting the owner several times after our stay and never received response. The home was not well stocked. There is very little in the kitchen as far as silverware, plates, glasses, soap etc. The flooring inside was seriously buckling in numerous spots. It looks like it had just been put down, but we had serious concerns about the integrity of the floor. It was a hazard. There also appeared to be recent water damage in numerous spots as well. They advertise there being items for the beach in the garage. It looked like it had just flooded and there was sand and water logged items piled up everywhere. My guess is they haven’t cleaned it up since the hurricane. Downstairs sitting area had very old and broken tables. The grill was no more than a tin can with water in it. The outside had lights hanging off the deck, loose, in numerous spots. I could go on, but essentially the home is just not in a great shape to rent, particularly for the price. They did mention the construction issues next-door in the ad. However, I was not expecting it to be a severely hurricane damage structure that looked to be about to fall down. I understand they can’t help that, but should price this listing accordingly.

Unusually clean and just a few feet from the beach

Even the nicest of beach houses are frequently run-down and grimy and we were happy to find this one sparkling clean and as-described. We'd definitely stay here again.

Great Location but FILTHY

This was a cute beach house with the perfect location, however, it had obviously not been cleaned after being previously used. One bathroom had tons of hair in the bathtub and all over the mildewed shower curtain and the other bathroom had toothpaste all over the sink. We took our shoes off, as requested upon entering and within 15 minutes everyone's feet were black! We had small child not yet walking (only crawling) with us so this was a major problem as we had to keep her off the floor as much as possible. If it had been clean, I would have recommended for sure, but its ridiculous to pay a $250 cleaning fee and then have to clean all the bathrooms myself upon arrival. The owner was notified and responded with an "I'm sorry" but that was it. She didn't do anything to remedy the issue. Also, it's listed as a 4 bath....just know one bathroom is a 1/2 bath and the other is outside and is also a 1/2 bath
