Inside, you’ll find 2 spacious bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and sleeping space for up to 6 guests. The ground level condo features a fully updated and well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook and gather, plus a cozy living area with a gas fireplace and a large flat-screen TV—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

Both bedrooms are located upstairs, the primary bedroom features a private ensuite bathroom with standing shower and its own spacious deck for a peaceful morning coffee or evening unwind. The second bedroom across the hall includes two queen beds and a full detached bathroom with a tub—ideal for kids, couples, or anyone needing extra space.

The outdoor space features two distinct levels for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The lower patio includes cozy outdoor seating, a gas grill, and sweeping views of the charming town below and the surrounding mountain peaks. Upstairs, the private deck off the master bedroom—also accessible via exterior stairs—offers a comfortable outdoor couch and even more stunning vistas, making it the perfect spot to unwind.

Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain and traction laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refund related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

The Lazy Bear condo was perfect for our stay in Grand Lake! Just a short walk to town, very comfortable, with a great kitchen and family space. Grand Mountain Rentals was very helpful and has their main office right in town.

RMNP vacation

The place was the perfect location to RMNP. The staff provided easy check in instructions for late arrival via email. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was super clean and exactly as described. We will definitely rent here again. Highly recommend

Visit with family in Grand Lake

Visiting parents who lived across the street. Our three kids stayed with their grandparents while Mom and Dad and another couple stayed in this rental. It was perfect, allowing us distance and closeness at the same time. Family dinners were always at the rental and there was enough space between the table and counter seating. Originally, the grandparents and grandkids were supposed to be at the rental, and it would have been perfect sleeping accommodations for this, but plans changed, and grandparents stayed in their own condo with the kids. Mom, Dad, and friends enjoyed the larger accommodations!

We loved that there were kids books and games (some adult board games too). We weren’t expecting that and it’s always a bonus! Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo Lazy Bear was clean, with new appliances, plenty of space, and usable pans and cutlery. The price was reasonable and worth the stay. The only down sides were that the grill had a cracked propane pipe and was unusable, and the mattresses on the beds were on the extreme hard side. Everything else was solid.

If you forgot our marvelous United States constitution was signed into effect Sept 17 th 1787. Grand lake is the leader in celebrating this wonderful document. Our clean, comfy, condo was just across the street where many of the lectures were held. So we walked and enjoy the fresh mountain air. The condo was very very clean and had all we needed for our stay. The management company was helpful and easy to locate. Thank you to the owners for sharing this perfect little place so perfectly located for us.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a good value for the price we paid. The condo was clean, and located about .75 miles from downtown. We enjoyed walking to get coffee at a coffee shop at a marina near the beach. I would give the condo a 4.5 out of 5 because there were items in the condo that did not work well. For example, the shower door in the main bathroom, was not in its track, and I had to place it in the track for it to open and shut. The head stands on the queen size beds in the second bedroom were not attached to the bed, and they would bang against the walls when ever someone moved in the bed. There were other minor things. We loved the unit, and would rent it again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the place was pleasant enough, and the amenities adequate. That said, here’s what wasn’t great...1. The trash is required to be taken to an office dumpster, several blocks away, where you have to fiddle to open a combo padlock, then toss the trash, then lock it back up again. All this needs to be completed by 10am. This will keep us from renting this place again.2. The pans are totally worn out and all the non stick is flaking into food. Ugh.3. The pics give you an impression there’s a garage space to be used... not so.4. There’s no AC, so be prepared for opening windows to cool of in the eve... but that’s a bit of a security concern. So do it at your own risk.5. Can’t use the tv to log onto your own accounts (Netflix, Prime/ whatever). They won’t give you a code to allow it.6. The bed was coming apart at the footboard. I ended up finding an Allen wrench to tighten it as it creaked loudly all through the first night, keeping us awake half the time. It was enough that if you moved your pillow a little, it creaked. 7. Master shower is teeny if you happen to be north of 150-200 lbs... 8. No lockbox key access at the property. Had to call (no answer) the office and wait for a call back. Admittedly we arrived a little early, but they are sticklers for not letting you in a minute early it seems. Not sure why when the place was unoccupied and cleaned already. 9. They charge a security deposit in case you mess the place up, but they also charge a healthy cleaning fee. We found marinara sauce stuck to the floor and Cheetos behind the recliner... not terrible, but a bit cheeky. So as it is heavily weighted in the favor of the landlord, and it’s not that special, if I were visiting the area again (we plan to), we prolly won’t use these guys agian.3 nights (Wednesday Thursday and Friday) in mid/late August cost (net) ~900$
