We were in Charlottesville on a long wine-weekend; so what better place to stay than at a winery! It's a very cute property and very convenient. We had 2 dogs with us, so the fenced back yard was nice. I walk the dogs every day and the property is about 1/2 mile from the main road, so down and back makes for a nice walk. The winery itself has some very nice wines...since it's summer, we really enjoyed the viognier. The tasting room is 1 minute walk out the front door...so very easy to go get a bottle for the back deck where we could let the dogs run around. Would recommend it and would stay there again.

The cottage was great. It was clean and well stocked. The only downside is there is no dishwasher. So all dishes had to be washed by hand.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and charming cottage. From the moment we pulled in, we could feel ourselves taking a deep breath as we took in the gorgeous landscape and the sounds of laughter and music from the tasting room next door. Upon first walking into the home, you are greeted with a genuine sense of warmth and welcome - I honestly thought we were entering a family's home! Once inside, you really can't hear anything from the tasting room and outdoor seating area. Had I not been pregnant on this trip, I would have absolutely taken advantage of the host's arrangement to have food and drink delivered directly to the cottage from the vineyard. The kitchen was a nice size for us to cook meals in, the bathrooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. I especially enjoyed taking coffee on the back deck in the mornings and savoring the peaceful sounds of the property around us! Our two boys also loved running and playing in the backyard when we weren't exploring in town. We will definitely be back, and I very much look forward to our next stay. It was overall such a blessing to be able to get away here for the weekend!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage on the Merrie Mill Winery property. The cottage itself is cozy, unique, and very well maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen, quality cookware and glassware, and a great Nespresso machine for morning coffee.One of the highlights is the location—you can walk right out the front door to the tasting room, where the views are beautiful, the wine and food are excellent, and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. The staff and guests made us feel like part of the family.The property is stunning, with rolling hills, vineyards, and plenty of space to relax. We especially enjoyed sitting outside with coffee while watching a group ride horses through the property. It’s also very pet-friendly, which made the trip even better for us.The host, Guy, was very responsive and easy to communicate with. During our stay, we also attended a winemaking event hosted by Lizzy and the head winemaker—an unforgettable experience with great wine, food, and stories.We stayed here for our 21st anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better place. We would absolutely return.

Such a great stay! Well stocked, no issues with communicating, and extremely easy check-in and check out process. Location and proximity to the tasting room is literally steps away. Decor and furnishings are thoughtful and cute. We all loved it!

Literally steps away from the tasting room, and when the customers leave, you have the vineyard to yourself. Really nicely appointed cottage and the stars at night are unmatched. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Adorable cottage

We (3 adults and 2 large dogs) enjoyed our stay! The cottage was comfortable and much larger inside than it appears in images. The backyard is wonderful for dogs and the outdoor table/chairs are perfect for enjoying a glass of wine! Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Great Stay at Vineyard

Clementine Cottage is comfortable, cozy, and very dog-friendly. We loved bringing our whole family, including our two dogs. They loved the fenced-in back yard. The cottage is steps from the tasting room, which we loved. This was a great place to stay and relax for a long weekend.
