Potomac Valley Log Home – Montana Dream

This 3,100 sq foot home on ten acres sits on a bench overlooking the beautiful Potomac Valley. The property is less than five minutes to a fishing access site on the renowned Blackfoot river and is less than 25 minutes to downtown Missoula. Whether you enjoy flyfishing, golfing, floating the river, relaxing in the hot tub under the big sky, watching the sun rise with your morning coffee, or enjoying an evening by the fire pit this is the place for you. This home has a huge private deck including covered and uncovered spaces with beautiful views and ample outdoor furniture. The main floor has an open space great room, dining room, full bath and fully stocked upscale kitchen. The upstairs master bedroom has a private deck, king size bed and a walk-in shower and tub. Downstairs includes two additional bedrooms, family room with a sleeper sofa, ping pong table, full bath, and utility room.

Potomac Bar is a full-service restaurant and convenience store and gas station less than 5 miles from our home.
Canyon River Golf Course an 18-hole course on the Clark fork river is 20 a twenty minute drive.
The Kettle House Brewing Company and Amphitheater, featuring live concerts on the Blackfoot River is a 15 minute drive.
Garnet Ghost Town is a 40-minute trip.
The Clearwater River chain of lakes including Seeley Lake and Salmon Lake are all within 45 minutes.
Double Arrow Ranch including a beautiful 18-hole golf course and wonderful dining is a 35 minute trip.

Family reunion

It was a beautiful place and ours family truly enjoyed our times there. The master bed was uncomfortable but everything else was good. Overall would stay again and definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful log cabin! Truly felt like home. The kitchen was well stocked and Jennifer was so quick to answer questions and offer suggestions of things to do. We enjoyed fly fishing, horseback riding, a day trip to Glacier/Whitefish and relaxing at the cabin. We also enjoyed watching the deer that came every morning and our girls loved the horses. Montana is beautiful and this cabin made it the perfect trip!

Great family vacation spot!

We had a great time staying here, which was perfect for our family reunion. We enjoyed having the large dining spaces and outdoor patio to enjoy spending time together. Great location that had easy access to Missoula as well as lakes and trails outside the area. It made it a great spot for going on day trips for our family. We also liked having the many kitchen amenities for making breakfast and dinner. Great hosts too!

A piece of paradise in Big Sky

Spent 5 nights in this magnificent property. My family and I have rented many properties throughout the country over the last few years. From the coast of Maine to the Pacific cliffs of Oregon, but this property and everything that comes with it stands above the rest. The owners are delightful people who check with you regularly to make sure everything is perfect. A wonderful touch of a welcome basket with local goodies(love the huckleberry taffy and syrup) and a handwritten note greets you. Morning coffee and evening cocktails on the deck and in the hot tub. Star gazing at night. Horses that come to say hello a couple of times a day. It really is almost like a Hallmark movie. Close to everything you want to do, fly fishing and tubing the Blackfoot , white water rafting, and only a short drive to Kettlehouse Brewery and Missoula. Glacier Nat'l Park is a 3 hour drive and we did a day trip which is very manageable. House is impeccably clean and well kept with so many nice touches. Loved watching the hummingbirds come every morning to get a drink of water from the feeders on the deck. If we are ever lucky enough to visit Montana again, there is no place else we would go to. It was very hard to leave.

Montana Postcard Stay on Bear Creek Rd

Property is picturesque. Plenty to do in the area. Toured the Garnet Ghost Town, went to Seeley Lake, Mtn Biking at Marshal Mtn, Johnsrud park is a great place to cool off. Missoula is a beautiful short drive away. We loved sitting around the table on the deck watching the hummingbirds. Kitchen is well equipped. Highly recommend.

Perfect Family Getaway

We were so fortunate to have found this home when we did. We originally had reservations at another VRBO and the owner canceled our reservation because they sold the property. I was scrambling and this home had just become available as a new rental. The location was exactly what we were looking for, the home was equip with EVERYTHING, the horses were a bonus and the owners were easy to reach with any queations. It was just perfect. Magical Stay

The property was even more beautiful in person. The horses were an added bonus as they were friendly and hung around the property for much of our stay. The entire property was beautifully maintained with so many extra touches. Fresh-cut flowers on the table, a greenhouse full of yummy veggies, two large eating spaces outside and beautiful views. The decor was darling and all of the mentions of family hit home,. The owners were very communicative - especially when one of my daughter's had a medical emergency. Will definitely want to book this propterty again!
