About this property
Downtown Mystic River Yacht with Sweeping Views
Welcome aboard Mystic's only VRBO yacht! Mystic has a rich and storied history with the boating and shipping industries, and we thought that creating an on-water VRBO experience would be a unique and fun way to visit our slice of heaven.
Our location in the heart of Downtown Mystic, on the river, gives our guests easy access to all that Mystic has to offer.
The space
The yacht is a 1986 DeFever that contains three berths (sleeping six), one and half heads (bathrooms for the landlubbers) as well as a full galley kitchen with a dining nook, plenty of deck space for soaking up the sun and two salons for relaxing or watching a movie. For those that want to visit during the winter, have no fear as Mystic Grace is heated and makes for a cozy getaway.
The aft salon features sliding doors to the aft deck, as well as access the comfortably outfitted bridge. This salon has two pull-out couches for the ultimate in comfortable lounging on this level along with a tv and refrigerator and ice maker for creating a great space to gather. Below deck the Main Salon is equipped for the comfort and enjoyment of our guests with a tv, another convertible couch and a classic stereo system (so bring those old mix tapes). We've also included a portable blue tooth speaker so you can rock out anywhere on board.
The forward cabin features a full-sized bed, as well as a half bath. As you move aft you will find the port side bunk room that has two single beds, a desk that is perfect for writing postcards, as well as the ironing board hidden in the closet in case you need to spiff up your outfits. Moving along you will come to the master stateroom with a queen-sized bed, the full bath, smart tv, and a vanity/desk.
The yacht also has a brand-new heating and air conditioning system, fully prepared to meet your comfort needs.
As with all yachts, you will want to be aware that the passage/hallways and doors are very narrow, be prepared to do a little side shimmy when passing through. For those of taller stature, you will find the sleeping cabins and aft hallway ceilings a little lower than standard heights, just be aware so you don't whack your noggin. The stairs (while not many) are slightly steeper than home stairs, but there are handrails at the ready! The sleeping berths are a bit higher than you will find at home, this is due to boats utilizing any available space for storage and mechanical needs. What does this mean for our guests? You will find little step stool in the aft room to aid you in vaulting to your slumber!
Guest access
Mystic Grace is docked at the Mystic Downtown Marina, which allows you to park there for your stay. This will come in hand as we are an easy stroll to all the wonders that Downtown Mystic has to offer, which means parking is usually a challenge.
Other things to note:
Please note that while this yacht is seaworthy, it does not leave the dock at this time.
You will be climbing stairs, both to get onto Mystic Grace as well as negotiating between levels on the vessel and boat stairs are slightly steeper and narrower than you would find in a land dwelling.
For safety reasons we do not allow children under the age of 13 stay on board.
Mystic Grace does not leave the dock during your stay.
There are not parties or events allowed onboard the vessel.
Mystic Grace is not for younger children and we ask that you only book with children 13 and older.
Pets are not allowed on board. Service animals are allowed but they may not be left alone on the vessel at any time.
As a vessel, Mystic Grace falls under the purview of the United States Coast Guard, as such there are no illegal substances allowed on board, this includes marijuana. While it may be permitted in the State of Connecticut, it is still illegal under federal law.

About the host
Hosted by Chris, Eric or Anastasia

Mystic Grace is owned by Chris and Eric, owners of a local marine HVAC & electronics company. Both grew up with water in their souls and when the opportunity to purchase Mystic Grace arose, they jumped at the opportunity realizing it would make a unique Airbnb.
Why they chose this property
We own and operate our marine HVAC/electronics company at the marina and the planets aligned when a slip holder decided to leave boat living to return to life on land. A pipe dream suddenly became a reality with the ability to share our love of Mystic with guests in a very unique way.
