Such a cute, comfortable and fun place. The decor was beautiful and fun, furniture cozy, and we got a ton of evening use out of the pool table. There are lovely toiletries provided as well as trash bags and paper towels. Being our first time in the Douglas/Saugatuck area we discovered the location isn’t walkable but we figured out solutions for parking and it worked great. Top tier!

This is a very nice house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inside of the house has been fully remodeled with updated amenities, including a deep soaking tub, Toto toilet, two rooms with king-size beds, pool table and a fully stocked kitchen, including herbs and spices, cooking oils, coffee and tea and a nice selection of Keurig pods We were pleasantly surprised at how many amenities were in the home. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, dishwasher tabs, and laundry detergent. This was our first visit to Michigan and enjoyed visiting Douglas Beach, Oval Beach, Saugatuck, and Holland for the tulip festival.

Overall a good stay. Home is very comfortable. Everything we needed was available and easy to find.Check in was rough though, entry code for front door had been changed and not passed on to me. Front door knob was tricky to use; very hard to open or lock. Outside garbage cans were full upon arrival. Temperature was still too cold for enjoying the fire pit or hot tub but the pool table and board games kept us entertained when we weren’t on the move.

Thank you for the feedback. Our apologies for the check-in mix-up, but glad we were able to get it resolved quickly. We’ll have maintenance address the front door knob. Sometimes the bins may have garbage in them based on the trash company's pickup schedule, but we are always happy to come and have our team handle if needed. Wonderful stay

Had a great time at the birdcage. Property is beautiful and private. We had the best time relaxing in the hot tub and building a nice fire pit at the end of long days hiking the nearby trails. Highly recommend this spot esp for families or people with dogs, very kid and dog friendly stay.

They thought of everything!

Wonderful accommodations and with everything you need to host family with a toddler and a dog. And just a 15-20 minute walk to Downtown Douglas.

Our stay at The Bird's Nest was terrific. The house was fully equipped with everything you need for a great vacation. It was really clean and comfortable. The master bed was so comfortable we kept oversleeping!

It was the best!

Pleasant Fall Break

Home was very nice and accurate to description. It is on a property located on longish drive away from light trafficked street. Very convenient location in regards to beaches, trails and towns of Douglas and Saugatuck.

House was very clean, pet friendly. We had an issue the first night, ceiling fan did not work and the second bathroom the shower backed up and toilet would not flush. We had to wait until midday the following day for a plumber and a septic service to come out, then when all was fixed we had a horrible smell in the master bath for the remainder of our stay. Other than that it was great!

Great place

We stayed at the Bird Cage for our Mom and Adult Daughter weekend. It was the perfect place for our party of 5. The house is beautifully decorated and the host has ensured you have everything you will need for a comfortable stay. There were beach and bath towels, shampoo and bath soaps, laundry supplies, and everything you could possibly need in the well equipped kitchen. The back yard is nice with the hot tub and fire pit. In the morning as we drank coffee on the back patio, we saw deer walking through the yard. There are so many cute shops and wonderful restaurants minutes away in downtown Douglas and Saugatuck. Also really close is access to the beach and sand dunes. Would highly recommend!!

True to the photos!

The Birdcage is beautifully furnished, very clean, and nicely stocked with towels, paper products, soap/detergent, and toiletry items. Communication with Juniper Holiday & Home was great. They were professional, provided timely and detailed instructions, and were extremely quick to respond to any questions/concerns. Our family really enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. We would highly recommend this property. The only caveat is that traffic noise is fairly significant (especially in the bedrooms), given the house's proximity to the freeway. Aside from that, this house did not disappoint. It was just as nice in person as it appears in the photos!

Thanksgiving getaway

My husband and I, our 3 adult daughters, and our dogs stayed at this house for a long Thanksgiving weekend. The house is beautifully decorated, very clean, comfortable and a great place for a late fall weekend. The house had everything we could possibly need, including plenty of beach and bath towels, bath soaps, shampoo,..., in the lovely bathrooms, comfortable bed linens, and any and all kitchen supplies in the fantastic kitchen where we prepared a full Thanksgiving dinner! Amazing!! The hot tub and fire pit area in the backyard and the pool table in the large living room area were great bonuses! Every day we saw deer and wild turkeys in the backyard. Downtown Saugatuck and Douglas were minutes away and had plenty of shops and restaurants. The area is beautiful, with beaches and incredible dunes. My family agrees--a return trip is in our future!

Clean, well-appointed home

Everything was spotless, check in was smooth, and management was prompt in replying to any questions we had. We enjoyed all of the thoughtful touches, like the welcome wine bottle for us and cookies for the kids, the little soaps and conditioners laid out in the bathrooms, etc. Everything you could want is in the kitchen, there were plenty of towels and blankets to go around, etc. Our crew really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub, as well as the nice deep tub in the master bath. It was a great way to have fun and relax after the holiday. The absolute hit for the younger kids was being able to boss Alexa around, which none of them have at home. Bathroom humor abounded! My only two items to note would be to have a cupboard available in the kitchen to put groceries. It's nice that there are so many gadgets and serving bowls, etc, but we realized there wasn't a space for the things we brought. We just ended up pushing some things toward the back in the top pantry cupboard to make room. Also, the main projector in the living room only had Apple play. We are an Android family, so we were unable to use the projector. I almost considered bringing our travel Roku, but left it at home. I would have been able to plug that into the second HDMI. There was a DVD player and Nintendo system, but I'm not sure how that would have been able to plug into the projector on the opposite wall. Those items did not impact our enjoyment of the space at all- thank you for a wonderful stay!
