There was no lock box so we couldn’t get in! It was a very remote area and neither of us could get a signal to contact the host. Their house was next to the property but there was a dog that prevented us from going to their door. Even though the dog was barking they didn’t come out to check on us. We had to go to another town and get a hotel room. Terrible experience!
We booked this property when it was new to VRBO. Upon checking in the front door window pane was made out of duct tape, the water source was hard well water (not drinkable and heavy in iron odor), we had multiple encounters with pests such as stink bugs, gnats and large spiders, the floor unit was unable to maintain a consistent comfortable temperature during the night and the hot water heater only allowed for warm showers for minutes at a time all which was not disclosed until check in instructions were provided days before our stay. We stay in the Canton area every year for a full week and unfortunately due to the quality of the cabin we had to leave 4 days early for the sake of our premature sons safety due to the large spiders that continued to be found in and around the bed along with the unmanageable temperatures. I would rate this experience 3 out of 5 stars as it is in a convenient location, the accommodations are a nice touch, however the cleanliness and small but important details of the listing are lacking in the description.
Clean, easy in and out, owner gave great directions and took care of internet problem quickly Bed was very comfortable and bath towels. Just needed a toaster. Will stay next time I'm in the area.
Neat and clean with lovely touches such as a Keurig coffee maker with a wonderful selection of coffee pods, wrapped chocolates, and all kinds of snack bars. The cabin was well stocked with towels, linens, and blankets. The front porch provided great Mountain Views and comfortable seating for porch sitting. The cabin was perfect for comfort and relaxation in the mountains.
What a beautiful cabin. My husband and I needed some relaxation time and this was perfect for us. We loved sitting on the porch and listening to the river across the street from us. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace and quiet on their vacation.
The rental was super easy to book and the property owners were very responsive to questions and quick with responses. It was a nice remote location, close to lots of outdoor activities. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely return.
