The open floorplan gives the cabin a sense of "home" immediately felt upon entering. The mixture of Bohemian and rustic design gives it a warm and cozy feeling. Enjoy those brisk Northern Michigan evenings next to our Norwegian Modern Fireplace. With very little light pollution, the expansive night sky in your backyard is especially clear, making for excellent stargazing. Enjoy the stars beside a fire in our outdoor chimenea firepit or have a bbq on our Weber charcoal grill. Enjoy 10 neighbor-free private acres complete with a large, well manicured yard-an excellent space for kids to play. It is very common to see elk, whitetail deer, rabbits, partridge, turkeys and geese right in the backyard while enjoying your coffee in the morning.

We were looking for a secluded cabin to stay at on our adventure up to Mackinac Island. This was the perfect couples get away that included all the essentials we needed.
It was a great location. The cabin was beautiful. You can tell they care very much about their guests. They put a lot of love and art into the cabin. It was a well supplied cabin also. I will recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
The Elkhorn cabin was beautiful and in the perfect secluded location. It was also very clean and well
kept. The interior design was adorable. Just a short drive to many fun attractions that we found using the travel pamphlets provided by the owner. Lastly, the star gazing was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. We would love to return in the future!
This place was amazing to stay at, came into town for a wedding and with my boyfriend and it couldn’t have been cuter! All the special little touches and decor made us feel like we were a million miles away. Enjoyed canoeing the sturgeon river around the corner and bonfires at night. Can’t say enough good things about our stay, highly recommend!!
We e joyed and appreciated everything about this property! Clean, comfortable, all the necessities in a quite and pretty setting! We could not paddle the Sturgeon river as planned due to extensive rain, but all else was fantastic!
p.s., the bed is wonderful!
My friend and I spent a few days exploring the UP and northern Michigan. This was a great retreat to come home to. Beautiful cabin with everything we needed. The decor was so cute and comfortable. I brought a million ideas home for a remodel, lol! I forgot my phone at home so communication with owner was difficult. Will definitely keep this in mind if my husband come back to explore the area.

I was born and raised in Northern Michigan so a passion for the outdoors was in my blood. After spending nearly 20 years in Thailand and Costa Rica, I decided to come back to Northern Michigan so my children could have the luxury of everything up "North" has to offer. I have a passion for creating unique stays in special locations. Be sure to check out our other listings as well. We truly enjoy being able to share our properties with others as we are confident these are memories that will be with you forever.
Why they chose this property
From the minute we pulled in the driveway we knew this was a special location. Having no visible neighbors in sight was a requirement of mine when I was purchasing land here in Wolverine. We always dreamed of buying an old log home and restoring it and that is exactly what we have done. We hope you can feel the love and charm we put into this project as you enter the door.
