Cabin was perfect; spacious, clean, well stocked. Would stay again if traveling back to that area. Bonus, got to see some elk a few miles from the cabin. Host was very quick with any responses.

Easily accessible while still so private

Such a beautiful location! Sadly a mostly rainy weekend but the house was so spacious we were still able to enjoy board games and the kids could run around without bothering the others.

Great location. Host and house are great. We had a wedding in the area so this was the perfect solution. I can see us renting this again in the future. It was the perfect place for us. Thanks for being a great host.

Great place in the woods

My family had a great time staying at this property. The appliances were all in excellent working order and the house was clean and orderly! We enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard listening to the coyotes in the distance and enjoying the sun setting through the beautiful pines. We rent from VRBO very regularly and found this house to be tip top!

Another great trip!

Our family arrived for our second year at this home! The updates over last year were lovely, the house is clean, comfortable and a great home base for our off road adventures. The restaurants nearby were great, check out the thirsty sturgeon and the pizza place both were great! Fires at night were great for star gazing as well!

Weekend getaway

My family and I spent a long weekend here. The house was in a great location for the day trips we took to Petoskey and Mackinac Island. The house was super clean and everything we needed for a “home base”. Tyler gave us some really good ideas and brochures for local activities and even provided bottled waters and ice. Overall we had a great experience.

Visiting with family

The house was very clean, well kept. Had a nice amount of amenities available to make a comfortable stay. Tyler and his significant other were lovely when we needed something. The home does not have A/C so we definitely utilized the fans a couple of days when it was warm. There are a couple of quirky little steps that tripped us up a couple of times, so be aware of those!

great and affordable

It's a very quiet place and we enjoyed it. It was well priced. It's basic, a little dated but beds were comfortable and plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked. My only suggestion is to hire a new cleaning company. Stove top was greasy, bedroom mirrors not cleaned and spiderweb/ dead bugs in some corner. No wifi or smart TV but they have a great selection of movies which we took advantage of. Communication with host was great and easy. Instruction were clear.

Beautiful secluded property in the middle of northern Michigan. Our trip was very short, but we were centrally located to visit Petosky, Mackinac, and Onaway, go hiking, star watching, and everything we wanted to do on our stay. The cabin was gorgeous, very thoughtfully updated. Very remote. We didnt have a campfire as we were exploring for most of our trip, but the yard and deck were very nice and we wish we would have planned more time for just relaxing at the cabin. Host was very responsive and accomodating. There were a lot of thoughtful details (travel books for all of the surrounding towns, games, books, and dvd's in case of poor weather, and everything you'd see at a hotel to stay confortably). We experienced a power outage late in the evening from an unexpected storm on the last night of our trip. Host followed up with the power company for us that night, stayed in touch with us, and had some grace with us when we were running behind the next day. I wish we would have planned more time to just hang out and relax. The stay was beautiful.

The cabin was very clean and rustic, while modernly updated. Multiple beds made it convenient for the whole family to sleep comfortably. The back deck is the perfect place to drink your morning coffee. The location was private, but not too far from civilization.

Cabin in the woods was perfect

Great wooded lot in Wolverine with nice fire pit and cozy living space. While we were there we were able to visit Traverse City, Petoskey, Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, and Rogers City all in a reasonable distance drive. There’s a nice farm to table restaurant right up the road and it’s close to Gaylord and Indian River. Really nicely located for natural resources too. Highly recommended!
