About this property

Unit 2 Historic Irvine Park House near West 7th Bars, Restaurants, Xcel, River

This large victorian house unit 2 is extraordinary because it is located on the historic Irvine Park square with beautiful views of its fountain and gazebo - this is the only rental available on the park!! The victorian was handmade in 1869 and the exterior is now a museum piece preserved by the National Register of Historic Places. It is featured in Saint Paul walking and bus history tours, history books and even a history comic book!

The Horn House is one of Saint Paul's oldest homes located in Saint Paul's oldest neighborhood. This historic 1869 victorian has 2 residences in it. Each residence is 1500 ft² with 3 levels. The two units share a beautiful wraparound porch, outdoor furniture, fire pit, and a long wood dining table under a beautiful pergola in the back. Each residence has it's own private entrance and 100% totally private inside with a private kitchen and living space.

This Airbnb is for residence #2.

Note: if this rental is not available on your dates, please look for the other house residence to rent, same name but different unit number. Both residences are listed for rent.

This unique house is located in the very best spot to enjoy Saint Paul - only 2 blocks to the Xcel Event Center, restaurants, bars, the MN Science Museum, Rice Park and downtown St Paul.

This house is perfect for group fun for Xcel Events, a home base for weddings in Irvine Park, romantic weekends and fun.

Perhaps the most special part of the house is it's wrap around porch! This is the very best porch in Saint Paul to hang out, sip drinks, and enjoy the scenic retro ambience of Minnesota's oldest neighborhood.

Irvine Park is a magical bubble in the heart of Saint Paul. It is a square of antique Victorians surrounding a beautiful little park. Irvine Park is quiet like a small town even though it is just blocks from the hustle bustle of popular bars, restaurants and Xcel Energy Center.

This house has extra special history to baseball and movie fans because it was previously owned by Mike Veeck of the Saint Paul Saints and was the occasional hang-out and sleeping pad for Saints co-owner actor Bill Murray. This house was also the hang out for academy award winning actress Marisa Tomei and academy award nominee Matt Dillon while they filmed the movie Factotum in Irvine Park.

This large Victorian house has 2 residences in it, each 1500 ft² with 3 levels. The two residences share a beautiful wraparound porch, outdoor furniture, fire pit, and a long wood dining table under a beautiful pergola in the back.

Unit 1 faces Irvine Park and has a large picture window in the living room with a beautiful view of the park plus a baby grand piano.

Unit 2 faces Walnut St. with scenic views of neighboring historic Victorian homes.

Each unit has it's own private entrance and 100% totally private inside.

While the exterior of the house is a preserved Victorian antique, the interior is relatively modern because the house was gutted by fire in 1978. The interior is a mix of old and new.

Both units have small but full kitchens with free coffee, wine glasses and everything you need to cook.

Both units have 3 floors, 1500 square feet. The 2nd floors in both units contain 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The 3rd floors in both units are loft style rooms with an open balcony-like wall overlooking the 2nd floor.

The 3rd floor in unit 1 is a large bedroom suite with a king bed, sofa and private bath.

The 3rd floor in unit 2 is a very large Japanese loft style room with 2 queen beds and a private bath.

Historic home made for a great stay
Amazing location near Downtown St. Paul in an historic neighborhood with beautiful homes and every amenity within a mile. Restaurants, concert venues, groceries, museums and shops galore within 2 miles. We had a great time in the family space on the first floors and the bedrooms had very comfortable beds and ample closet space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would visit this property again.

Superb Girls Trip Getaway!
This beautiful historic house was perfect for a girls trip getaway for 7 lifelong friends celebrating the year we all turned 60! We spent a lot of our time at the house enjoying the wrap around porch, outdoor fire pits and the outdoor eating space! Surrounded by beautiful Irvine Park and historic homes in a quiet neighborhood with rare white squirrels running around. Walking distance to restaurants on 7th and the bike trail along the Mississippi River. Mike was a fantastic host and readily available for anything we needed-even built us a fire! Thanks for sharing this gem of a property!

Perfect Property/ Location
We stayed at this property for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. From check in to check out, our stay was great. We had two families staying together and we had plenty of space. We utilized the outdoor area alot with meals, playing games and socializing. We loved the idea of walking to nearby restaurants and the park across the street. Also took a couple walks along the River which is easily walking distance. We would definately stay here again if we were coming back to the area.
