Home away from home

This house felt just like home. Beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean and very well kept. Our host was great, very accommodating. She was even able to rent us a vehicle which was a great help to getting around the island. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to the islands.

My wife and I we were looking for a place to spend our anniversary, and we found the perfect location. We were located close to the beaches, grocery stores,restaurants. The host provided two beach chairs and beach towels. The apartment was very clean, and the kitchen had everything that you would need.overall we were very happy with the apartment and that made for a wonderful week and a great anniversary.

Cute, thoughtful digs but creepy monitoring

Pluses: Spotless! Inspirational signs incl. Xmas, many throw pillows. Storage. All new (except microwave, mattress). Thoughtful extras like 4 beach towels! Li’l gifts. Central location. Offer to wash towels midway (we already did it). Answered local event query. Good Internet. Host washed porch mid stay.Negatives: No check-in info ’til day prior--after we left. Ring door-lock difficult to start. Garden-level apt under multi-level house, under construction, entire neighborhood too! Host texted to request minimal water use. We took ltd. “navy showers.” Host constantly turned off AC. CREEPY! Even if we took short walks. Wrong accusation call. No microwavable dishes. Roku not Cable TV, must lie on bed to watch (need your own paid subscriptions). Centipedes galore. Steep narrow drive (beware green rotting lid). Loud dogs, geese, frogs at night. Cheap couch cushions. Cheap dish rack quickly grows mold in tray. Tchotchkes on every level surface, ltd counter space (full of stuff). Drinks slide off pretty resin coasters. Extra barstool too tall for table. Flimsy gate hard to latch (or dogs mess on porch Host warned). Polyester sheets yield sweaty backs every night; fitted didn’t stay on. Inaccurately converted gas-stove flame put oily residue on pans, spread easily, hard to clean. Dangerous nearby 6-road intersection.
