Unique weeklong getaway at the Dome Home. Loved the design and decor of the house. Many good days at Goose Rocks Beach which is a quick 10 minute drive. No issues with electricity or hot water. Nice size deck and plenty of seating for afternoon/evening hours. Great fire pit too! We enjoyed our time here.

Loved the Dome Home

A fun experience staying at the dome home! Close enough drive to shops and restaurants in Kennebunkport but also far enough away from everything to give the rural setting as advertised.Great communication for checking in and out.

Weekend at the Dome

We stayed at the Dome house for a long weekend. The property setting is beautiful and having a peaceful retreat 15 mins from Kennebunkport provided a great balance to our stay. The uniqueness of the home is very cool.

Dome House doesn't disappoint!

This is a special place and it was perfect for our dogs. The woods are lovely and the house is unique. It felt far away from the rest of the world, but was actually close to the beach, great hiking trails, and the wedding events we attended.

Get Away Trip from Boston

This unique home was a fantastic place to have a getaway from Boston’s hustle and bustle! It was peaceful and the slow mornings were perfect! The house was lit by the sun for the entirety of the day. The home was cozy with all the decorations. The owner was very responsive and made the stay wonderful! The town and beaches were all a short trip away!

Magical !

We can’t say enough good things about our stay at the dome house. We loved the uniqueness of the dome and the solitude, without roughing it. We stayed over the Christmas holiday and we were very comfortable. Wi-Fi was good, the heat worked quite well, and the hot water was quick to heat up. The shower in the downstairs bathroom was amazing. The piano was an added plus too! We would definitely stay here again.

Real home Dome

This is an amazing property and it was an experience to stay here. Being in the dome was inspiring. I had to figure how you could build one! The craftsmanship and details are truly unique. The space in the dome has its own feel. A truly great property with great hosts in an amazing area.

Exactly what we needed!

We needed a getaway for my father in law, sister in law husband, 2 boys and myself after a tough year. The dome home was the perfect retreat! It’s such a unique structure and the woodwork is simply beautiful! The spaces inside and out were enjoyed…and provided for the creation of so many new memories! Thank you!!! We hope to be back!

Week in the woods

We had a wonderful experience. We had all the necessities we needed. We got to be a little resourceful when it came to toasting and reheating our food, but it just added to the experience. Would recommend to anyone who wants the experience of being in the woods with the convenience of being in town. Owner was wonderful in making sure we had everything we needed and was easily reachable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

If you have large dogs and enjoying 'glamping' because the only appliance you have is a fridge, then the Dome is perfect for you! From the start we had issues. The keypad code for the front door had been changed and we did not receive the updated code, so we could not open the front door upon arrival and had to reach out to the host. We did have contact with Joshua regarding several other issues during our stay, but they were not addressed eg, no trash bags, no hairdryer (even though it's listed as an 'essential' and a large wasp nest in the 'sunroom'.The Dome is unique but it also needs some major updates (there are broken lamps, light fixtures need replacing, lights that didn't work, screens on windows with tape on them) also, just a really good deep clean, yard work to tidy up around the fire pit and front steps, replace bedding and declutter. This home is only 25 years old!My biggest problem though is the photos on the listing are inaccurate and misleading. I thought we were going to stay in this awesome Dome house for my daughter's birthday trip and that is not what we walked into. For example, the photo of the 'sunroom' on the listing and my recent version are incredibly different. The photo's on the listing are from 2022 when the house was purchased by the host and there has obviously been changes in the decor, so please update the listing!ould have booked the cottage by the sea, and I will not be recommending this listing.

Magical retreat

What a wonderful spot! So unique and cozy. Comfortable bed. Minimalist, relaxing decor in bedrooms. Beautiful views of trees, sky, and the field. Quiet and peaceful. Great kitchen. Enjoyed watching a show projected onto the wall. The double shower is spacious and feels like being at a spa. Several large house plants. The fire pit is awesome. Within a few minutes’ drive to beaches, nature reserves, plus great bakeries, breweries, and restaurants. Highly recommend the dome when you’re ready for a break from the city.

The dome home is a wonderful location. The property is a short drive to good restaurants, Kennebunkport and the beach. The interior of the dome home is bright and spacious. A quiet place to relax.Unfortunately when we arrived the property had not been cleaned or restocked with towels. Joshua was very quick to respond and had someone there immediately. Outside of the home there was a fair amount micro trash around. The property had remnants of the previous owners which unfortunately detracted from the experience.Don’t get me wrong this is a wonderful, quiet stay and has loads of potential. Just a little trash pick up would go a long way. I think it’s worth staying but for the price some TLC would help make it feel like money well spent.

An inspiring location with an even more inspiring home

If I had the talent, this is where I’d choose to brainstorm my piano album. It’s a serene and magnificent property that will make you focus on what truly matters. We arrived at the property after a sailboat cruise in Saco, then enjoyed the next morning just a quick drive away in Kennebunkport. The lack of light pollution made for beautiful star gazing on the deck at night. And hanging out in the wide open living room at night brought out the best in our vocals. The acoustics in this place are really amazing! Overall, the experience was truly special. Thank you!
