This home on the canal was the perfect place for my husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, to stay while touring the area. The home was clean and comfortable and the canal was such a great place to have coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night! The host was very helpful. When back in the area I will surely stay here again.

The indoor furniture was comfortable. No wastebaskets in laundry room or bedrooms. The bathroom floor around the toilet was very dirty, the tub was painted over and much of the paint was chipped off and continued to chip while we were there. Bathroom exhaust fan caked with dirt and hair. Painted tub surface really slippery and no tub mat. Lots of paint splashes on floors and trim in bedrooms. Wall texture substance sprayed over door trim, no one bothered to wipe it off before painting . Many broken blinds in home including bathroom ( we attached a rag to bottom of bathroom blind for full coverage), two broken windows. One was supposed to be fixed while we were there but wasn’t. A number of very sketchy outlets that we wouldn’t touch. We saw that these outlets were reported in a review previously but never were fixed. . Broken gate on fenced rear yard that we bungeed together to secure the yard for our dogs. Patio furniture set is rusted and seats torn. Owner or previous tenant purchased two plastic chairs for rear yard which we used. Property accommodates 5 but only 2 chairs for yard! No mat or rug at sliding patio door so dirt, sand and dried grass was constantly being tracked in. All in all, property was way overpriced for its condition.

Cute, clean and convenient

We enjoyed our stay - the house was impeccably clean and well appointed. The owners were very helpful and responsive, and we found good restaurants nearby - we enjoyed Fisherman's Village, and launched our jet ski from the Port Charlotte Beach area, which was very nice. Overall a great vacation spot!

Port Charlotte charmer

This home was perfect for the two of us or more if you don't mind sharing a single bathroom. Nicely updated throughout, convenient to town and Punta Gorda, and we really enjoyed drinking coffee while watching the fish jump in the canal out back. The host was very friendly and accommodating, highly recommend this alternative to hotels.

Peaceful setting on canal

I enjoyed my stay at this home and it was nearby everything I needed. The canal view was fabulous and I even saw a manatee. Ralph was a great host and was always available to answer any questions I had throughout my 45 day stay. I highly recommend it!

Just like home

Our stay was very comfortable. The house was clean, comfortable and came with a few extras for getting settled in. Had all the amenities that you need for a full week minus food(of course). Nice quiet and family friendly location and very short drive to main road with all the stores and restaurants that you need. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Ralph and Sherry!!

The place is still under renovation from the hurricane, My biggest issue was that the plugs in most of the rooms were not anchored, so you plug in something and the plug pushed into the wall. Some of them did not have covers. Half of the floorboards were missing. A lot of construction debris and equipment taking up the washroom and carport. It could be very nice after all is complete. The internet was good and the supplied appliances and cookware were good.

Great location.

We loved the location the best. It is close to everything and not on a busy noisy street. We went to the parks and beaches every day. We had a lovely time and our host was most helpful, always answering the phone when we called. Having a washed and dryer on site is great too. Again, we had a lovely time during our stay. The full size bed is very soft with no support and not at all comfortable. The outdoor furniture is in bad shape and the pictures don’t represent it well, but we found the plastic chairs useful. We would have appreciated a footstool or two to go with them and some full body lounge chairs and some little plastic side tables so the backyard would be a more comfortable place to spend some time. There is no fire pit as listed in the amenities.

Being raised and living in a Northern State, I learned to deal with the cold but Love the Summers most of all!! We would vacation every year for a week in Florida to escape the cold. We, as a Family always talked about purchasing a home in Florida one day. My Children are now adults and often bring their Children to Vacation in the Sunshine State of Florida!!

We love the water and all it has to offer, it's like having the open waters as a Big Back Yard where You can Boat, Fish, Crab, Jet Ski, Kayak, swim etc.... There's nothing like having some Fun in the Sun on the water! There is also Lots of Fun on The Land to be had and this Home was in the perfect location. There are several Restaurants, Stores, shopping malls, Grocery stores and Parks all very nearby. There is a GIANT RESORT called (The Sunseekers Resort rt.) coming just right down our street. Its 17 on-site Restaurants, Shops, Boardwalk and Marina will be open to the public for even more Choices and Fun during Your Vacation with us. Also, just across the water in Punta Gorda, there are additional Restaurants, Shops, Boardwalk, and Park known as Fisherman's Village. We fell in love with this quaint House and the Canal out Back along with it's Perfect Location! We want this Beautiful Vacation Home to Be Your "HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!" Come stay with us and see for Yourself!
