An escape to definitely remember

Great property to stay in. We've rented several houses in the area and we really loved this property the most. Great all around experience. Lovely grounds... Lots of activities.. close to Banner Elk Boone and the ski resorts. Thanks for everything!!

Eagle's Nest - Always a Wonderful Experience

We enjoyed our stay at "An Escape to Remember". The home was beautifully decorated and perfect for the three of us staying there. We had planned to grill a few nights and the Weber grill provided was immaculate. The house itself was very comfortable and in a great location. The Blue Ridge rental staff was very helpful and accommodating. Eagle's Nest is a great getaway if you are looking for a weekend away or a month! We are already planning our next trip.

We loved our stay at An Escape to Remember. The house was the perfect size for myself, my two kids (15 & 12), and our dog. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and morning coffee on the deck. It's our second time staying in the Lodges at Eagles Nest and we love it there. Between the trails, mini-golf, playground, basketball courts, and dog park, there is so much to do.The only downside is it's about a 15 minute drive from the main road up to this property...that's a lot of time if you're going into town 2 or 3 times a day...but it wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

Not Ready For Winter Mountain Rental

The property itself was fine. However, this is in an area where if it snows, some help maybe needed to get out. No one came to remove snow nor throw salt after a major snowfall. Other roads in the comolex did had that. The people managing the rental have no personell to aid in these major events. They put pressure to kick you out of the property even if you let them know that help is needed to get out in advanced. They do not have staff to provide, even at a fee, towing or ride services if your car needs to be left at a lower point or a bit of help is neededed to move it. They are so diaorganized that at one point they promised we could stay one more day when the weather seemed better. Next day, they basically tell you to get out and their aid consists of calling some towing companies that do not answer the phone. This is despite freezing temperatures outside and you letting them know there is a 2 year old. It is inhumane. They are simply ill-staffed to be renting these king of properties.

We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay, but we do tell guests to be prepared for snow in AWD/4WD vehicles and to be ready to use snow chains for any stay during the winter months. The neighborhood does maintain the neighborhood roads beginning with the main roads first. Our team did try to move an incoming vendor so that you could stay an additional night, but unfortunately the vendor was not able to be moved and we were not able to extend your stay further.
