Everything was exactly as advertised. The rental was clean, and had everything necessary for a great stay. The hosts live near the rental property, but that was never an issue. We would definitely stay here again.
Everything was perfect. The property was well maintained and the landscaping was very pretty. We enjoyed the sandy beach and the location was perfect for us! Tawas is about 10/15 minutes away!! Would make reservations again!!
This is a very nice cottage located right along Lake Huron. I was pleasantly surprised how big it is! Very spacious kitchen and common room. Also two sizable bedrooms on second floor. Clean and well maintained. Also appreciate the instructions throughout to help with light switches, appliances, etc.
We loved staying at this rental! The cottage is on the front of the owner’s property, and Lake Huron is their back yard! Just a short walk on the side of their house, and you’re on the water. It was perfect for our young kids to enjoy a private beach front, and walk them back up to the cottage when they were done or needed lunch. Matt was very kind and accommodating. So nice to talk to, while letting us enjoy his beach frontage on our own
Nice, last minute, vacation rental. Cottage was clean and stocked. It was listed as AC, but that was only a room unit. Not whole house. No lake access, but that wasn't advertised. My fault for not reading it. The previous reviews had said there was. So we were disappointed. The grill was nice but hadn't been used recently, found animal droppings on it.The refrigerator also went out while we were there. Not that I can fault the owners for a random incident, but it did make us toss some food that got too warm. So that was a bummer. They apologized for the trouble and gave us money for ice for our coolers.

This 3-star rating is not at all a surprise as the renter violated our house rules of not allowing children and lied in the reservation by stating it was all adults staying. They were aware that we saw the children so I believe the 3-star rating was their way of punishing us for catching them in their lie. All of our other ratings are 5-stars so we're not losing any sleep over this one. Good luck to anyone who chooses to rent to them!
Great long weekend getaway. Weather was perfect. Matt and Angela were great. Using their beach was wonderful, although I wish we would have packed our water shoes. The water was rocky. Short distance from Tawas Point State Park. The water was sandy and you could walk out 75-85 yards to the sand bar no problem. We do wish the TV was a smart TV, but Matt and Angela had movies you could borrow. Would definitely stay again.
Angie and Matt were great hosts. The house was immaculate. Plenty of amenities: kitchen utensils, towels, toilet paper, etc.
The beach was so much fun. Matt let us use their jumbo floating island which was a bonus. Great vacay!
We will be going back!
We were the 1st family to stay in this cute cottage. It was my Husband and I along with 4 kids (ages 10,15,15,16) ...They had so much space that they didn't fight with eachother!!
Matt and Annge live on the property,So if you need anything they are just a call or text away. They are very friendly hosts and I would not hesitate to rebook with them again while visiting Tawas!
