Your Mayberry Get-a-Way Cabin- Only 6 miles from Downtown Mount Airy

A super nice cozy log cabin located only 6 miles from Mount Airy and the Andy Griffith Museum. It is sitting on a little farm. Miniature donkeys and goats are on surrounding property. We always provide candy, orange juice, milk, breakfast bread or muffins. We are pet friendly.

This cabin stay was the best vacation my husband and I have had in years. Rick and his wife were so friendly and responsive. We were greeted with goodies for our stay. The cabin is exactly as pictured and on beautiful property. The animals were a pleasure to see and visit. This will be our go-to retreat whenever possible.

This cabin was super clean, pet friendly and the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. The cabin is nestled in a beautiful county setting with wonderful farm animals, but is conveniently located not far from Mount Airy. We will definitely come back!

It's like living on a farm. 10 or so turkey's came by the house every day with plenty of goats all around. Love the cabin. Best stay ever.

We had the perfect weekend at this quaint one-bedroom cabin! The property was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by adorable farm animals that made the stay even more special. One of our favorite parts was enjoying our morning coffee on the covered front porch while taking in the relaxing scenery.The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very nice place for pets. Nice area to take our two dogs for a walk on drive and down a country road. Side porch worked out as a place to hangout with our two dogs off leash. Brought a compression gate which kept dogs’confined. Animals on the property were fun to watch. Wineries in the area were fun to visit and sample.

Property was clean and inviting. My chihuahua loved it too, so many sights, smells and sounds that she had never experienced, she didn't want to go inside. We enjoyed all of the farm animals. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Quiet and peaceful place for a getaway weekend..loved the hot tub too.

This stay easily exceeded any expectations. The property is so peaceful and just beautifully done. Everywhere you look, you can see the love that goes into every detail of this family farm. Randy and Kim are beyond amazing as hosts, and just kind, thoughtful people in general. You would imagine that after hosting for so many years, it would be status quo by now. Not even close. We were treated like VIP guests the whole stay. We simply could not have asked for a better experience. Everything about this trip with our granddaughter and senior Great Dane Sadie was a "keeper." As long as Randy and Kim are willing to share their beautiful farm home, we will be back. For anyone looking for a getaway, this one has the following: immaculately clean, close to town, yet filled with peace and solitude, beautiful property, exceptionally maintained, sleeps like a dream, great jacuzzi tub, quick, effortless check in, great hosts communication, extremely accommodating, beautiful area in general, pet friendly, lovely farm experience, including all of the animals.

Randy and Kim Hicks built the cabin in 2006. We have put a lot of love and hard work in the cabin to make it extremely nice, landscaped, and very clean.

Why they chose this property

It was our dream to have a log cabin so we built it on our farm. We have a lot of people coming through to visit Mount Airy or Mayberry. We have enjoyed meeting the people that have stayed. It has been a blessing to us and the people that have stayed.

What makes this property unique

This cabin is very peaceful. The animals provide a great atmosphere. You are out of town, but so close to restaurants and shopping areas. You are only about 10 miles from Pilot Mountain State Park.
